Also, don't expect a free consultation--it's not clear upfront, and there's a big discrepancy when it comes to what they charge. Transparency should be standard, but that wasn't the case here. We couldn't have been more proud to walk in the trial with her as a lawyer! It took years and hard work for her to get there and it showed. Experience is necessary in any family situation ,especially this one, that ends up going to court let alone trial! She was always taking notes and always listening with compassion for what we were going through as a child's guardian. A child's life was needing her and us. When corrected, she still didn't seem to give a care. My initial conversation with Ryan was nothing spectacular either. I was referred by a friend but I'd never recommend them myself. Oh, and Joy likes to blow up your phone. Multiple phone calls to me within hours of each other because on the first call to me she had to leave a voicemail and because I didn't drop my entire life just to call her back. She had 0 respect for my time even though I clearly explained my schedule to her at one point and that I was going to be unavailable but that I would follow up with her when able.
