We were thrilled to be able to book Storm-Tite Home Improvement to do the job. It was the best investment we ever made in our home, which we plan to stay in. The pandemic had set us back from our original plans to start the job in Spring of 2020. Lumber kept rising and building costs soared. Frustrated with waiting any longer and fearful that wood rot and bees would continue to plague us aging seniors (along with the Covid pandemic) we went in search of a quality reputable contractor. As seniors, we were fearful of being taken advantage of by con artists who prey on the elderly. We settled on Ed Ladouceur's Storm-Tite company, after many glowing word of mouth reviews, and after visiting a job site in progress nearby. From first contact it was a home run. Ed responds quickly to your calls. He will come to your home and assess your needs and work up an estimate in a timely manner. He's professional, friendly and not a high pressure salesman. He has a whole team of pros to attend to all the needs of your remodeling job. Storm-Tite also has a store front in Warwick where you can peruse different product lines in person, safely. He's got top-notch carpenters, siding installers, electricians, window installers, roofers---everything you need. Storm-Tite uses only the best products. We had a variety of siding styles and brands to choose from. Ed helped us save money and still achieve the curb appeal we desired by combining products when the cost of using the premium product for the entire job climbed out of reach. He shows up everyday on the job site to check in with the crew. I liked that we discussed underlying problems (rot) that were found and corrected them before the house wrap went on. You will not get a one man band. You are hiring an entire competent and friendly team to get the job done quickly. They supply port-a-John so workers are not traipsing through your house, and all debris is trucked away daily. The yard was left spotless. Every detail was worked out from what style window to the doorbells, lighting fixtures and hose bibs. The installation was done off season and workers showed up everyday rain or shine. To Charlie, Richard, Tawn, Steve and rest of the gang---thank you for your integrity, skill, and professionalism! We had complete vinyl (Norandek) siding in "Steel Blue" installed (with full Certenteed insulation wrap), matching blue steel awning over our air conditioner, 3 Harvey replacement windows, 2 custom built storm doors, all new rain gutters with leaf guards and downspouts, Invisiguard beaded soffits and all new vinyl-alloy trim in white. Our house is 34x26. The 10x10 shed was sided to match. Storm-Tite is not cheap, but remember: you get what you pay for. Do it right and you only have to do it ONCE! Worth every penny. I needed to have the roof replaced on the estate house within 30 days for insurance purposes. I contacted Vaz Construction and was connected with Elijah DeSouzs as my project manger. He was the best. Kept in touch with me on a timely basis, always on time for on-site appointments, knowledgeable about the roof products and friendly and kind. We were able to get the job done within my time frame. The roofing crew worked from morning until night and they were great! They left no mess or debri in the yard. If you need any construction work done, call Vaz and ask for Elijah. You won't be sorry.

What started off seeming like a good company, ended up not being so good. One guy would be there for three days and then someone new would show up and have no clue what the last guy did. One of the employees painted the bathroom walls without even wiping the walls down after sanding. What a mess and it had to all be redone, which I am sure would not have happened if I did not complain. At one point, I had to tell the project manager that I did not want anyone in my home until I met with him. The lack of craftsmanship, and integrity was upsetting to say the least. Who puts kitchen cabinets in before painting??? Once the job was complete, it took Vaz Construction another month to come back and finish the things that were not completed. Overall the experience was very disappointing, even more-so with the amount of money they charged us for their sub par work.

Be very careful of Cedar Valley Exteriors. They promise you a new roof and that they will get your…read moreinsurance to pay for it. But they do not do roofing; they help with insurance claims then they out source the roof job to a different company. Colton and Ernesto of Cedar Valley Exteriors (CVE) came to my property with a company truck and assured me that they are a long standing roofing company. After filing the claim, then they disappeared for several months with intermittent contact just to assure me that the extra time was to find and get the best roofing product for me and my roof. When the estimate was finally completed four months after the claim was opened, and the job should be scheduled, no schedule came; only a request for tens of thousands of dollars as a down payment. I was feeling uncomfortable with this process and the company (CVE) who I learned knows little about roofing and especially about cedar roofs, of which I have. So I canceled. I understand that this was a blow to them so I gave the sales rep, Colton, $750.00 for his time and drone work because I felt that he had been counting on the job. Within days I received an invoice for a $20,000 estimate-cancelation fee from them. I also received texts and phone calls from the other guy Ernesto even though I told him I would keep my communications with Colton. Ernesto kept pinging my phone which I began to see as harassment. Also, I sold Colton a $20 product from my own home business and he said he would Venmo me for it, but he didn't. When I brought that up, he said he's not paying me because I "stiffed" him. No pulled permit, no materials ordered, no work done, no start date, and I gave the kid $750.00 for his time. I apologized a lot too because I felt so bad about canceling but I don't trust their roofing. I do not believe the representatives of CVE are honest or informed and look what happens when you cancel.
