Pretty disappointed with the arrangement that I purchased. I am giving two stars because they sound like nice people, however, they need to provide what one is paying for. I made an online order for a birthday arrangement delivery to a friend. It was suppose to be a surprise, but KC Florals accidentally called my friend informing her of the arrangement. I get it, accidents happened. They called me to let me know of their mistakes but insisted that they would make up for it by adding balloons and additional flowers. Delivery overall was good, but when my friend sent me a picture of what she received, I was so sad! KC florals informed me that some flowers would be out of season and they would be adding substitutes, again, I get it. BUT I did not except for it to look so different. I paid $77.93 and the arrangement looks like it could've been from a grocery store /: very disappointed and to top it off, no balloons were added to the order. This place is such a treasure in Merced. I was honored to learn that the owner Keith himself answered my call in the middle of making deliveries, and then met me back at his store to start working on my order. He made this beautiful arrangement when I simply gave him the color schemes, occasion, and budget. I didn't expect him to add a vase and big ribbon. He's so personable and welcoming that we ended up chatting for a while. He offered to take the flowers to my car when he saw me struggling with my child's stroller. I didn't realize he went back to his store just for my order until I saw him leaving when I did. He had a sign in his shop that said something like "come in as strangers, leave as friends." I was Gene's first yelp order! Every year I special order flowers for my mom on my birthday. When I called to see if everything had gone through properly. I was also able to make sure that the flowers would be delivered before a certain hour and they were delivered well before it. The reason I'm writing the review is so people can make sure a decent floral arrangement is being sent. These arrangements are expensive as it is. My mother received a floral arrangement from KC floral yesterday and it was pretty bad. The flowers had dried up petals, they were flimsy and just a bad overall presentation. It looks like they got random old flowers and just stuck them in a vase. The roses were nice. The lilies were still closed (which is expected). All the other flowers were ugly and old.
