Andy Stewart was waiting at the desk for customers and he helped us graciously in the store; on the phone when I had questions; and at our house when he came to measure and plan the installation. We had borrowed a couple sample books and were able to make our best choice. We were not buying expensive carpet, of which there are many possibilities. But we did want a good value and outcome for this room. We had a very good experience when homeowners sometimes get into big problems with this. The price we got from 'not Kraynik' was 1/3 higher for the same work from the 2nd company. That's just pricing though. Kraynik also came to our home and worked with us on selection, brainstorming trouble areas, and helping us understand the work. The Kraynik team knows flooring extremely well and was able to support us with any questions we have - from how do we clean and repair, what's 'surging vs binding', where to start - and lots more. Very patient with us, gave us the time we needed to understand (and we ask a lot of questions). And when it came time to do the work, I feel as if they treated my home as if it was theirs (keeping the areas as clean as possible while working, making sure we can use key areas end of day when the work required more than a day, attention to details, cleaning up end of job...). I do not understand the prior review - it comments on wearing of masks only (and Kraynik is vaxxed and boosted and maintains distance), not the work or the help.

Sales person who came out seemed confused from when he confirmed my appointment Sunday night (not a fan of being bothered on a Sunday), ran 20 minutes late despite explicit directions, and was unprepared during the appointment which required me to repeat information already that I've shared. During my experience I couldn't help but feel the sales person was coming across sexist, ageist, and insulting with a lot of assumptions. He was also a little too curious about things that are none of his business, ironically having missed ALL of the information which would have yielded a more positive and smooth experience for me. Despite this franchise being owned by a woman which seemed like the salesperson was backpedaling to emphasize (??), the salesperson came across doubtful of the facts provided to him. It kind of felt like diversity awareness would be helpful for the sales staff so that the business appeals to a variety of customers who are seeking home finishing services. It wouldn't hurt for the staff to be coached on being professional when engaging with different (from the sales person) clientele, situations and while visiting clients' homes. I walked away with a questionable impression and wanted to warn of my experience with other non-male, post-boomer demographic seeking flooring.
