Let me start by saying that, though this restaurant is within walking distance from my house, i…read morehave only recently set foot in it (with a bunch of yelp aficionados). The location is slightly off the beaten path and within close proximity of the Japanese School (of Via Arzaga) of Milan. Once you enter the redraurant, you are welcomed by quite a collection of mangas and Japanese knick knacks. Following your waiter, you are seated to you table and given a menu that resembles more like a Michelin guide than the average menu. I ought to admit that, every time i see a menu that goes of for more than a few pages, i get overwhelmed, intimidated and, after a little while, a bit annoyed. I appreciate the thoroughness of the menu. The fact that almost ALL the plates are followed by a pictorial tutorial as well as a minimal explanation. I wanted to try the fatty tuna but could not decide which combo to choose which meant i ended up NOT getting it. Though, undoubtedly, the fish is extremely fresh and the quality of the ingredients is way above the average standard offered in Milan, i find it a bit on the expensive and the tiny portion side. I also have to agree with my fellow dinner companions. Though the sushi was impeccable and fairly prompt in being delivered, those who opted for cooked dishes had to either wait quite a bit or solicit repeatedly. I would totally recommend to those who want to have a true japanese restaurant experience, though i must warn the price tag will NOT be for the faint of hearts.

I'm from LA where sushi in my book is the best outside of Tokyo. Italy and Milan in general don't…read moreoffer the variety of fishes I would normally eat (ie: mackerel, yellowtail, butterfish, etc) so you have to be more lenient in this city. This restaurant offers the Italian usual: salmon and tuna, with just one dish that offered hamachi... so with that out of the way; I like the restaurant and think their presentation is great. But it was hard to order with its large menu and high pricing - although I appreciated the menu showing pictures for every dish - but there just were too many options of the same fish. For me; if the sushi restaurant can offer a lot of variety of Salmon and tuna dishes, but not much else, their costs are already marginalized versus a restaurant that can offer unagi, toro, and other fishes I mentioned above so their pricing wasn't entirely fair although service was GREAT. Presentation was great and I liked they offered salmon and quail egg options as that hit the spot after having too much Italian during this trip... their dishes were good as pictured. I think my glass of Spumante (aka Prosecco/champagne) was only 3 or 4 euros - something incredibly dirt cheap which was nice. I am more inclined to give this place a 4.5star but there isn't an option.

The portion is the smallest I have ever seen in my life. 15 euros for a tiny plate of squished sushi set... and I am not even half full. Some pieces of the nigiri also have that "sea taste". Not sure if it is a good sign or the contrary. The quality isn't bad. But not justified for the price. I also ordered seafood salad. The salad is larger than I expected, but the salad sauce, which is a typical citrus ponzu mix, is nowhere comparable to the ones in Canada. It tastes bitter, not savoury. Anyways. Thank you for the friendly service. I wish you the best amid the terrible pandemic but I don't think I will be back anymore...

It's difficult to judge a Chinese buffet in Italy, because there are very little competitions and…read morefrankly, you're in Milan! But it's easy because I'm a former Chinese buffet expert so I can break it down to you: there are some good items here, many average ones, and some really horrific. Good ones to try: large shrimp, beef, or anything that is from the grill area. Their fried rice was above average (but don't fill up on that since you'll get full really quickly). Seafood salad (by the salad bar), pineapple (in season) and stir-fry shrimp were also good. Average: everything else, minus the horrific ones below. Horrific: sushi (not as fresh/cold as I'd like), any of the dim sum items, stir-fry section (not to be confused with the grilled section, which you don't choose sauce), teriyaki chicken (overcooked), spare ribs (overcooked) Having said that, $20 euro per person isn't that bad, considering the variety of things you can get. Pro tip: even if you put 6-7 large shrimp on your plate (from the grilling section), they will only bring you 3-4. So separate them into multiple plates with something random (example: if you want 7 shrimp, put 3 + slice of beef on 1 plate, and 4 + slice of chicken on another plate). Pro tip 2: gelato is $1 more
