Nightmare & HEARTBREAKING (Hesperia, CA) Nice lady but she cut off top portion of 5 years of hair growth. She was only to do a face frame & not cut any of the back hair. The face frame was unsuccessful & my hair is heartbreaking. Now, it is time consuming getting my hair to stay down every morning. I must tie something on top to hold the small areas & wrap another thing on the back of my neck to keep it from standing out (from 2 hair ties & no bobby puns, now having to use 4 hair ties or 5 at times with bobby pins). It is a mess & if I let it all loose, the drop from shoulder length hair to the bottom portion down to my knees is obvious and embarrassing. Very disappointment and heartbroken. I would not give 1 star, but it was the only way to post this review. I am not intending to cause harm but to forward anyone with long hair. Be cautious. read more

Was working in the greater Victorville Hesperia California market, and needed a cut! Thanks to fellow Yelpers! found this Barbershop tucked away in the 7-Eleven parking lot?!? I called to find out what time they were open until and while they stay open till six last call is 5:30 PM. So I had to hustle on over which only took me about 10 minutes. I arrived and to my surprise no one was in the chair and no one was waiting. So I hopped right in the chair in Miss K started in on me. What was the haircut of the month? Sounds like a number one fade! Miss K made quick work of me, all the while keeping me in clever conversation mode. When it was all said and done, this was one of the best haircuts of the year so far. I mean it's an okay haircut, I could've gotten a better cheaper cut through my buddy but he wasn't open at the time. The lady who did my hair seriously pissed my song off, she cut one of my callicks so short, she was gonna cut it shorter before my son said, "be careful that a callick" . Now he has to regrow that damn callick because she didn't know what she was doing, the other barbers in there were doing pretty good jobs, well at least one of them. It looked like he had the most experience, he was doing pretty well on this guys hair, the barber next to him wasn't too bad either, he wasn't a professional and you can tell by the look of the line he gave the kid. After my haircut, he gave her $17, haircut was $15 he was giving her a tip, then she said $2 more dollars because it's $18. First off, that's $19, she basically ripped him off. I don't recommend at all to get your hair cut here, i recommend this place called maria's, it's down my civic plaza and toms burger. Really great guy that's gives good haircuts for cheap. After looking at everyone's reviews it seems that they've been ripping everyone off. Advertise $15 on the board, charges more afterwards. The prices in the picture are old too! Made my sons hair look like crap, would sue if i could. NEVER GO HERE! read more

I've been to Many hair cut places and this one takes the cake of the wrose one of them all $15 dollars for a 20 mintue hair and it says barber shop in the name and they don't do a razor shave ? I was told they can do my cut for 15 since is so simple,Kim rang me up and tried to charge me 18$ When I let her know the price I was given she got in defense mode and started to question my cut like did you get a fade are anything special. I guess maybe she was just not in the mood that day! Came back and again told her I was told my haircut was simple and they charged me 15 last time again she told me it's 18! Kay's first up the hill Barber shop I tried since I moved up in October. I was going to go to another spot before this one but 2-3 hour wait is not the business. Quick in and out place paid 18$ for my cut. Fade was good, good customer service. Mrs. K was cool and friendly. I'm a picky client, although I don't like my time being wasted I like the whole nine when going to a barber shop hot towel, like to be papered a little and aesthetic matters ect... but I guess for the awesome price I can't really complain much. DO NOT come to this shop! It took all of a 20 minute visit for me to learn the hard way that this shop is awful. From the beginning: The first red flag was me walking into an empty shop on a Saturday. There were two barbers - Kay and another woman - working on a father and son. The woman working on the dad gave him an even cut all over, maybe a size one all around, easy, Kay was fading the son up. Once the dad was finished, he told Kay that he asked for a mid-fade, not the high-fade she gave him. Her response: "Oh." Oh?? You just messed up! The dad was obviously angry but walked to the register anyway and after about a minute of awkward silence in the shop, Kay finally says, "Well, with his hair type, the high fade is much better. The mid wouldn't look good." The dad then tells her that SHE was the one who began doing mid-fades on his son months ago and that she's done it before without coming up with an excuse as to why she messed up. They then left. I finally take my seat with the woman who worked on the dad: black hair, visible tattoos - I don't know her name but if you see her and an open chair, RUN. I tell her mid-fade, leave the top length but just fade it in for a nice comb over. SHE GOES HIGH WITH THE ONE!!! TO THE TOP!!! NO FADE WHATSOEVER!! I tell her to stop and see that she made my whole head look like a pineapple and ask her why she did that. And then she, visibly aware that she messed up, tells ME that MY hair style works better with that look. I look at her and tell her that she didn't at all give me what I asked for not two minutes earlier and she kept going on about how for a classic comb-over, there's no fade but instead an even cut all the way to the top. She then cuts one sideburn higher than the other, leaves a serious undercut, and says she's done. Again, DO NOT come here!! They'll spend more time trying to tell you what YOU want and need rather than listening and getting it right. read more

Do not... I repeat DO NOT go here! If I could give no stars that would be my rating a zero. I don't understand how this lady has 4.5 stars. I've gone in about 3 times to take my boys. Kay is fast but at what cost?! She doesn't listen to what you're asking for. Everyone gets the same haircut here. If you ask for a low or medium fade... it doesn't matter she takes the one all the way to the top. The times that I have been to her shop I've heard numerous people complain about not getting what they ask for. She rushes you out and doesn't pay attention to detail or what you're asking for. Save yourself the disappointment and money. She likes to brag about how long she's been cutting hair for but if she hadn't told me how long, I would have guessed that she just started cutting hair. She's terrible! She truly is. She went too high on my boys. You can see lines all along where the fade is suppose to be blended. I don't see her clean the machine after a customer. She's extremely rough with the kids. She literally grabs their head and pushes them around extremely hard so they can be positioned where wants them. My son even complained after we were in the car. And she never admits to her wrong doing. Never again. All 3 times were a disappointment. At one point she had 3-4 barbers and they literally looked like they just walked out of bed. For me the problem with getting my haircut is trying to find that normal barbershop no graffiti on the walls and terrible trap music playing so loud that after finally getting in and out i have a headache I just moved up to Hesperia and that's all o could find until o found Kay's the owner was so nice she cut my hair and my 2 year old son's hair she was so patient with him and did a great job. It's no problem coming here by myself with my son she will put the tv on cartoons give him a lolly pop and be done with my cut before he is done with his lolly and she does a great job this is my favorite shop and i will continue to be return here. read more
