The location is so convienent. For example if you want to eat out there are a variety of restaurants close by. Also Barrington is maybe five minutes away from Walmart. During the summer time want to go swimming, there is a nice size pool to swim in and a pond full of ducks. Barrington Apartments also is close by St.Johns River community College and provides living space for college students. So If anyone is looking to live somewhere to be happy come check out Barrington Apartments.

According to a few residents, Holly Ridge is designated as a non-smoking, income-restricted…read morecommunity catering to 55+... well, 80% are and the other 20% of the population are family members or friends, most of whom moved in without approval and aren't named on leases... and yet still use utilities that Picerne uses as an excuse to raise rents for legal residents. I could describe quite a lot of negatives to add to the prior paragraph, however, I won't. Suffice it to say... if you like small apartments over-crowded with loud, extended family members and/or criminals who steal from residents, key cars, destroy property-owned amenities that obstruct future use, defraud DCF, HUD, Social Security, IRS with smiles on their faces, having to avoid halls and stairwells filled with smoke from illegal drugs, or bed bugs in the community spaces and some of the apts... this is the place for you. The only reason Holly Ridge gets 1 Star is because of the income-restricted rents for seniors, in such an economically-challenged city like Palatka, and the fact it has a non-heated pool.

Dirty hallways, tenants who need to be in an actual facility walking around smelling like urine and worse. i have a relative living there and I personally have killed cockroaches on the hallway floors as well as their apartment. I saw notices hanging about the bedbug infestation while visiting. The office staff is friendly and they tell you what you want to hear but then nothing gets done. Gossipers too! Also, there is not a single automatic door for the large amount of tenants in wheelchairs, scooter chairs or walkers. Shame on Wilhoit. It's obvious they only care about full occupancy and collecting the rent. These are people who may not have much but they do have some dignity and don't need to feel like they are less than worthy.
