I'm grateful for this find because it's rare to find a place where you sense that blood, sweats, tears and love! have been poured into it. I felt like I was inside the food truck, getting served by newly graduated cooks who were looking at me with eager eyes hoping I would love what they made for me. And it's a good feeling. It's a feeling that conveys, "you and your food are safe here". Now, I do feel like the presentation of the food took the food truck metaphor a bit too far. I prefer a bit more whimsical sight of my food, but that didn't make it any less delicious! Spicy, hot, fuego chicken wings: perfect during this fight against "The Disease No One Wants To Hear About Every Again". Not like I'm used to, but still good. And it's always a good idea to try out "not like I'm used to"-places!

You enter a nice interior with dimmed lights that put you at ease & convey intimacy. The restaurant owner Mustafa was the perfect host: he answered every question with a kindness and a smile. He recommended terrific meals to us. The service overall deserves a 10/10, the best I've gotten in an African restaurant thus far. Now comes what you're most interested in: the food & the drinks! I'm not exaggerating when I say heavenly! The juice mocktail was one of the best I've tasted thus far and don't let me start on the Lamb mafe: first time and it was my best choice. My yassa chicken was decent quality meat, but the sauce was very one-note and lemony. My friends with the variety platters fared better as they were able to have a bunch of different flavors and textures, whereas mine just got boring after time. Do note they have a number of vegetarian options. It was lovely to be outside; we were there during a jazz festival and a few live bands came through. Though the other restaurants were lively, we were the only customers at ours-- surprisingly, service was super slow. The woman was annoyed when we asked for the bill. The inside looks wild with lots of paintings on the wall. The bathroom is okay. A cheap and filling meal, but think I could have found a better spot in the area with some research.
