This is the most effective chiropractic approach I've ever experienced - the adjustments hold much longer than others. I first went to see Dr. K.J. after hours at an airport, followed by hours on a plane, hours on the train, and then a night on an air mattress. When I got to his office, I was pretty miserable. When I left his office, I felt better than I had in years. This was my best summer in Westhampton Beach, thanks to Dr. K.J. I only wish I could find someone half as competent at home in California. I look forward to returning to WHB in September so I can experience his care, again.

Also, for 6 months Carol Sigler treated me while I had to have chemo at Stony Brook hospital and I had far less side effects than others whom I got to know. No nausea, I was eating and able to walk an hour a day. At the end of the chemo I was treated for 2 months to put me back together and detox and after only 6 weeks I was energetic enough to begin interviewing and go back to work and have a normal life. I cannot recommend these highly skilled, kind and caring people enough. They are the essence of healing.

I sought help for two injuries, one older sports injury that has caused me chronic pain my entire adult life, and another recent knee injury that significantly reduced my mobility. He was incredibly dismissive, interrupted me while taking my medical history, and acted skeptical about my level of pain. As someone who has sustained quite a few acute injuries, and who has received PT, chiropractic, and osteopathic care in the past, I appreciate when providers ask for my consent before making adjustments after assessing the injury, as well as talk me through what they are doing as they do it, he did not do this, nor did he ask if anything he did was causing pain, I had to let him know multiple times that what he was doing was hurting. I've now left his office in more pain than when I arrived, and with very few actionable steps to take. I would not recommend him unless you are comfortable asserting yourself, and I would definitely suggest you think twice if you have any trauma associated with your injury/ailment, as he does not communicate or offer explanations in advance, or give you much agency during the appointment.

Luckily, a search through my insurance led me to Dr. Petruccelli's website. As an athlete, I tend to be wary of chiropractors unless they have a sports emphasis, and was stoked to find someone out on the island like him. I emailed late on a weekday, and he made room to see me the next day, which is always appreciated. And even though he knew I was in from out-of-town, he took his time with me to understand my history and my injury, and even gave me follow up exercises and further recommendations. He incorporates and offers a number of different treatment modalities - estim, shockwave, ART, NKT. If you are out on Eastern LI and need someone, I highly recommend Dr. Petruccelli.
