These are just a few words that describe this awesome guitar instructor. I highly recommend Jim, and if you were to sign up, I don't think you would regret it for a minute. I got my grandson started in guitars about a year and a half ago. I became extremely tired of seeing nothing but the top of his head all the time while his beak was buried in his phone doing nothing but playing video games. We started down this journey together. I already had an acoustic guitar I had bought for my son many years ago. So, I bought another one for myself and started taking him to guitar lessons. My thought was we would do this together... like a buddy system. I became very frustrated because the instructors we used didn't seem to have any plan and had zero organization. Don't get me wrong, they were great guys and good musicians, but weak instructors. When the primary instructor was no longer available, I started looking for a new one. I did an internet search and came across Jim's name. I gave him a call and he talked with me for the better part of an hour to determine if he was going to be a good fit. Well, he was... absolutely he was! We've been going to Jim for a couple of months now and my grandson's interest has been renewed. Now he Is motivated, practices more, and really likes Jim. Not to mention, I piggyback off of the lesson and practice the same things he is teaching my grandson. To sum it up what I like about Jim Maguire is he is genuine, and I feel like he really cares about his students. You can tell just by looking at him during one of his lessons. He's always smiling, but his face really lights up when my grandson is hitting the notes and chords they are working on. A very inspiring and motivating instructor. If you are looking for a guitar instructor, I highly recommend Jim.

Just suffice it to say that if you have a chance to work with Jim either online or in person, you are lucky. Jump in--you won't regret it.

I have been taking my 8-month-old daughter to the Babies Classes taught by Kapila. We started off…read moreby trying their free class offer & I then decided to join the rest of the current session because I thought the class was excellent. The Babies Class is for 0-8 months old. There are also Family Classes for 0-5 years old. Kapila is an excellent teacher. The class was wonderful & I love giving my baby this exposure to music from an early age. They give you CDs of the music & there's also an app for your phone -- so that you can play the music at home to increase the amount of exposure your children get. During the first class, my baby was just in awe because she hadn't been in any music classes before. She looked at everyone, especially teacher Kapila. She gnawed on the various instruments we were given (afterwards, they get put into a special bin to be cleaned before the next use). The second class, my baby felt more comfortable and started crawling around during the class as well. The third class, the others no-showed so Kapila gave us a private class. I highly recommend Prelude Music Classes.

Both of the teachers we've had, Kapila and Melissa, have been excellent. Babies and children are encouraged to be themselves, whatever age or stage they're at. Any toys or musical instruments that are mouthed or otherwise exposed to saliva can be placed in a special bin to be cleaned before they're reused. During each class series, you get a CD of over 20 songs, an illustrated songbook, and access to those same songs via a downloadable Music Together mobile app. Highly recommend Prelude Music Classes for all babies and young kids.
