I've enjoyed excellent service from Dr. Platt for the past 2 years as my primary physician. She has a caring heart and is truly the most compassionate doctor I've ever known. She makes house calls which was so important when I was very ill last year. I can get pap smears from her which saves me a trip to a gynecologist, and she can do blood work so I don't need to go to a separate lab. I also started getting micro needling facial treatments from her in addition to stem cell injections where my lower eye bags were a problem with astonishing results. Her nurse Jacqueline is very attentive and makes sure my prescriptions are always refilled on a timely basis. Horrible clinic! Stay away ! They dont care if you are in pain! Referrals aren't sent out , they claim they cant get medical records from Planned p.hood right down the road as I'm still waiting a month now. They blame other medical facilities for not getting/ obtaining info.,requests, referrals & NO FOLLOW UP CALLS TO ADVISE PATIENTS OF LAB RESULTS OR ULTRA SOUND FINDINGS. THEY JUST DONT CARE! I had the same experience as Jessica M. stated prior. Contacted by the cosmetic office to remove my comment as it was damaging to their reputation and then Yelp removed the comment "because it didn't look like it described an experience at this location" when in fact it is the same location, just different suites for the cosmetic office and the internal medicine clinic. Same terrible business practices by the same doctor Katrina Platt. Thanks Jessica M. for creating the marker for their internal medicine clinic in Redlands. I only wish I could review this place as zero stars. Their competence and professionalism are lacking to say the least. Straight up lies, unprofessional front desk, combativeness, no ownership of their mistakes, and not an honest care for their patients at all. Could not get a referral or call back to save their lives! Had to call numerous times just to get a verdict on the ultrasound from Katrina Platt. Couldn't be bothered to call back and had to hear from the front office on what they thought the ultrasound looked like. They are not doctors despite what they might think. Very disappointing experience. Will never return, would advise you to think twice before trusting this place to properly handle even the most basic of things that you'd expect from a doctor's office. I agree that the wait times can be long, but I am willing to wait for Dr. Platt. She is that good! I appreciate that she spends time with me, listens to my concerns, and then actually discusses them with me. She doesn't just move people along like cattle. If she is running a little late, it's because she is giving that kind of attention to another patient who needs her. I have had nothing but positive experiences at her office. I have been going to Dr. Platt's office for only a bit over a year now, and I'm happy to report that this year's overall office experience was a definite improvement over my experience of last year. It looks like Dr. Platt has made a real effort to address the issues that people have been complaining about. Last year, I had to wait for close to an hour to see Dr. Platt, but this year they saw me right away. Like most doctors, Dr. Platt has a tendency to take on more patients than she herself can personally handle, but she has wised up and hired a Nurse Practitioner by the name of Randi Edwards, and Randi is awesome. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love Dr. Platt. She is so knowledgeable and focused and personable, but I'm just seeing her to monitor my hormone replacement therapy, so there really is no need for me to see her personally and take up precious time that could be given to a patient or patients with more pressing issues. Randi was great. She performed a mini exam, listened attentively to my very minor issues, and advised me appropriately. She told me that my bloodwork was excellent and that my mammogram results showed no issues. Best of all, she was able to write me new prescriptions for all of my meds, thus saving Dr. Platt valuable time. So kudos to Dr. Platt for hiring Randi. Kudos to Dr. Platt also for hiring a new front desk staff. As so many people here have pointed out, the old front desk person was just generally rude and argumentative. Alejandra, the new front desk person, is friendly and courteous (what a shock!) and so efficient. She won't leave you hanging on hold for ages or lose patience with you or tell you that you aren't in their system either. She found me quickly in her system and suggested that I see Randi instead of waiting for two months to see Dr. Platt. She also volunteered (not kidding!) to call in refills on all my meds so that I wouldn't run out of them prior to my appointment. I was just dumbfounded by her courtesy and her efficiency, and my latest office visit was a total breeze, so please don't hesitate to give Dr. Platt and her new staff a try. Dr. Platt is a very focused and conscientious internist, and she is well worth the wait if you need to see her personally. If your issue is something that her Nurse Practitioner could potentially handle though, then by all means don't hesitate to book an appointment with Randi. She is also excellent and so helpful, and she is very personable too, with an upbeat and optimistic demeanor just like Dr. Platt's. read more

I just started with Dr. Platt this month. I have had a nice experience so far and look forward to my next visit. Had to wait about 15 minutes past my appointment time, but what was nice is it the staff has a nice snack basket and coffee, and other refreshments for us while we wait. Today was the 3rd time that they have canceled my appointment same day. There is zero consideration for the patient or their schedules. The last time they did this to me I had taken the day off of work, drove down to the office and when I went to the door I was told all the appointments were canceled for the day. Today when I expressed my frustration the receptionist told me "I can't control if somebody calls off." Then says the next available appointment is of courses on a day I cannot make it so I asked for the next available appointment and it's over a week away. I waited over 2 weeks for this appointment. Dr. Platt may be a wonderful doctor. But, it is difficult to see past her very disorganized office and rude staff. I waited 2 hours past my appointment time. I was told by other patients in the waiting room that this wait time is common. During the two hours, I observed Jaquelyn arguing with virtually every person that walked in the office. Patients who came in to complain about missing documents, missing xrays and prescriptions that were not called in were among the complaints that were dismissed by this staff. Patients left on hold for over 15 minutes while the staff talked among themselves, patients left waiting at the front desk for 30 minutes while the staff were in the back room laughing and having a great time. Jaquelyn put a pharmacy call on speaker while she provided them with private patient information, which could be heard by all in the waiting room. When I was finally escorted to the exam room, I was informed that the office closes early on Friday's and so the office would be closed in 10 minutes. So, after 2 hours of waiting, I would only be allowed 10 minutes or less with the doctor. I left and went to another doctor who respects their patients. RESPONSE TO SANDI B. I am confused. You deny any connection to Dr. Platts internal medicine office, yet you've claimed yourself as the owner of this page. So, are you part of the cosmetic office or the internal medicine office? Or are you just obfuscating and attempting to confuse the two offices in an attempt to deflect bad reviews? Regardless, I have no interest in engaging in a conversation with you as you have clearly stated on your cosmetic office YELP page that you have no connection to this office. I am very sad to update that now my boyfriend is having a significant amount of trouble with this office. He had surgery two weeks ago and requested the appropriate paperwork for disability from this office nearly a month ago (he already paid the $25.00) and they still have failed to follow through. When he calls to get information​ no one answers, therefore he leaves a message. He never receives​ a phone call back. Today, we had to both call the office 17 times to get someone to answer the phone (from two different lines, they picked up on my number, but not on his). We found out, they never processed the disability paperwork and he has to have another appointment. Now, he will not receive a paycheck due to their incompetence and he has to wait another week for this "appointment". Thank you so much for making our lives a little more difficult after his surgery, we really needed the extra stress. This office does not follow through with phone calls, lab work, or paperwork. They constantly double charge. By this I mean: They charge when you are at the appointment, and then send you a bill. If you are staying with them, then keep your receipts​. read more

This office NEVER follows thru on anything! I have given them many chances to redeem themselves and they simply do not perform. I'm almost embarrassed to say that I have been a patient since 2015 and have never had the office follow up with me. I have received a response from Sandi and would like to clarify some things. Sandi is the aestetician at Dr. Platt's cosmetic portion of this office. Sandi is the person who complained that I left a review on the wrong business when I originally reviewed this office and she had my review removed because it was detrimental to her business which was different from the internal medical office. Sandi separated herself entirely from Dr. Platt's internal medical office, so I am unsure as to why she's claiming ownership of this page as well, if they are "different businesses"? Hmm. Further, when I created this page, I input the phone number from Dr. Platt's website. As an FYI, other users can update a Yelp page without much difficulty. Further, Yelp chose to alter the business name, not I. Either way, it is very interesting to me that you, Sandi, have suddenly chosen to take ownership of this business and then go on to cast blame instead of taking responsibility for issues that are very clearly common for multiple patients. This is very disheartening to say the least. In reading all other negative reviews, however, I have yet to see a review stating anything about being unable to reach the office due to an incorrect number. In fact, the reviews state that they got someone on the phone just fine at this office; the issue is that they were met with unprofessional, incompetent, and rude staff filled with lies and deflection. Kind of like your response to me, Sandi. I see now why the office staff feel justified in treating patients so horribly. I do not wish to ever experience your office again, so I shall not be calling you, Dr. Platt, nor the office manager. Dr Platt is an excellent doctor, one of the best I have ever had. However the person in the office in charge of charge of okaying referrals and prescriptions is one of the nastiest, unkind and thoughtless people I have ever encountered. She ignores faxes and requests for information. Twice now I have not been able to get my prescriptions before I ran out because she is not responding. She has lied to me numerous times saying she didn't receive faxes, or that she had put in a referral and she had not. SInce she is the person I have to deal with on a regular basis, I plan to change doctors. read more

I have been going to Dr. Katrina Platt since she opened her practice. Dr. Platt and her staff have always provided excellent service. Her care and attention to detail is like no other doctor I have ever seen. She treats me like family. I may someones have to wait a bit passed my appointment time, but her staff updates me and lets me know if Dr. Platt had to help someone with an emergency. I total understand I know if it was me on the other end needing the emergency care I would be soooo thankful she made it a priority. So if you are looking for a new doctor she is the one. I had same experience as a few others. Dr. Platt is actually a good Dr but her office staff is just horrible. I've put up with it for a over a year and just can't take it anymore. They never follow through on what they say they will do, no call backs and have been very rude to me. While Dr. Platt herself seems to be a decent doctor, her office/nurse staff is very unprofessional and unorganized. Some of them are also very rude. I had called at the end of November because I needed an MMR vaccination for a nursing program and they said they would order it and call me back. They never called me back. I had to pay $76 at my school to get the first shot done because I couldn't wait any longer. I also needed a called a few days later to make an appointment for a referral and they told me the shot was never ordered when I asked about it. When I went in for my referral the next week I specifically asked for them to order the second MMR shot in the series so I would not have to pay again at school (I'm already paying for my health insurance, so why should I be paying for the shot somewhere other than at my primary care physicians office?). They set up an appointment for January for me to come in and get the second MMR shot. When I showed up for my appointment they were going to give me a Hep B vaccination! The nurse said it was never ordered. Another nurse came in and I told her exactly what I had been told (shot was being ordered) and I had even showed the girl that made my appointment my immunization record showing that I needed an MMR shot. Jacquiline (the second nurse that came in) went out to the front desk and asked (I'm guessing it was Crystal) about it and I hear her tell her I said I needed Hep B! I never once mentioned Hep B and had shown my shot record when I made the appointment. So twice my correct vaccination was not ordered. And how unprofessional and rude of an employee to say that it was my fault when I was in ear shot! I was told last Monday the 7th that they would order it and call me when it came in. Over a week later, and no call. Tomorrow I have to pay AGAIN at my school to get the second shot since I can't wait any longer. Also, the morning of my appointment, I called and left a message for them to call me back to make sure they had ordered it before I went in. No call back and I show up only to have them try to give me the wrong vaccine and blame me. This is just one issue I have had with this office. I also had an appointment on December 20th and waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment time. People actually left because they were tired of waiting. Dr. Platt couldn't make it in that day so everyone had to see the new NP (who was very nice). I have been cancelled on for almost every appointment because Dr. Platt is sick, out of the office unexpectedly, had emergency surgery to attend to. I have shown up for a scheduled appointment and when I arrive they say they didn't have me scheduled when I have an appointment card they gave me in hand! I was also given lab results over the phone without any of my personal information being verified. When I asked about it they said my name comes up because of my phone number! What if it was not me on the phone? The front desk staff is constantly putting people on hold that call in to talk to each other or chat with patients. I left Beaver because I thought they were awful, but this office is so much worse. read more

Wow... I am absolutely shocked at the reviews here on this page. We are all human beings and maybe if we see everyone that way we can be a little kinder. I will never change my doctor. Yes I have to wait longer than I would like to see her. But don't you all realize the reason? Dr. Platt is the first doctor I have ever been seen by that actually takes her time with me and listens to me and adequately deals with my issues. She isn't quick to prescribe medications to shut me up as other doctors have in the past. She makes sure to go down every avenue and have all tests done so that we have accurate diagnosis before jumping to conclusions. I have recommended her numerous times and will continue to do so. Something to think about- how quick are we to write negative reviews?? Daily I am sure we all have good experiences with businesses but do we take the same time to review them? If Dr Platt is busy it is because of how many patients she treats in a day (as required by the medical group I am sure). So think about how many patients she sees in a week, DO NOT base your opinion by the 1% of patients. Judge for yourself. She is wonderful. I've never had a problem with her staff. I have never in my life come across such a horrible medical office.I really liked Dr Platt's video so I switched my husband's Primary Care to her. His first appointment was with her PA and he was then scheduled for another appointment to actually meet Dr Platt a couple weeks later. He received a voicemail saying that appointment had to be cancelled. He called multiple times trying to reschedule and they don't answer the phone during business hours and then they don't call back. The PA had put in for a dermatology referral for him and when a month went by without receiving it in the mail I called the office and the receptionist put me on hold forever. She came back to tell me that the PA forgot to give her the note. I don't really believe that. So the referral finally got put in much later. My husband recently needed to be seen for something more urgently so he called to ask for an appointment. As usual no one there answered the phone so he left a message. This was about two weeks ago and they never called him back. However, after not calling back for several hours that day I called Blue Cross and changed his primary care to another doctor. That doctor got him in that day. I was very disappointed in Platt's office because I had high hopes of meeting her and liking her. I was planning to switch my primary care to her as well. Sadly my husband and I never got to meet her and the office staff that runs it is truly horrible. It's really unbelievable. The lowest I could give was one star to do this review. But honestly they deserve a negative review. if Dr Platt is really a caring good doctor she needs to know how horrible her office staff is. Her PA is very nice though. Let me start by saying Dr. Platt is a great doctor and the office location is very clean; however, that is as far as I could go with complements. My experience with this medical office was good at first than it just went down the drain. I had recently got a surgery and being HMO I had to get authorization from my primary for every little thing. If I needed to get blood work done that was asked by my surgeon, I would have to either call the front desk three or four time for them the pick up and notify them my surgeon was sending me for blood work and I would have to ask them to submit the request into my insurance. And even than, I would show up to the lab location to get my blood taken and they would not have any orders for me. This happen multiple times, where my surgeon would tell me one thing (which was the correct thing to do) and the front desk would tell me another thing. Due to my surgery. I was going to be out for a month and would need to be on disability. I gave them paperwork to be completed in a timely manner. I had a deadline and they told me they would have it completed in time before the due date. The due date has come and gone and they did not get it to me or my insurance in time. I called about 10 time before I could get through to someone and they proceeded to tell me I need to make an appointment to complete the paperwork. This was not disclosed to me beforehand and now this paperwork will not be submitted into and I will not be getting paid because of their incompetence (mistakes). They also always send me a bill say I have not paid my copayment even though I always pay on my visits. I tried working with them but at some point you get tired of trying to work things out. In conclusion, if you do choose Dr. Platt, be ready to save all your receipts and get gray hairs from all the stress you will be put through. I wish you the best of luck. read more
