So I am from Waseca area and requested a ride just to go to Owatana and they were gonna charge me $260 for the round trip to get back to Waseca and I asked if they take card and they said yes they do. And than the guy called back and said if I can do cash he will do $225 and I said I could only do card and he said you could go to an atm. And he was super rude his name was Daniel. And said that you can find another way to get there than caz I couldn't take cash out when they said they already accept card. But the guy hung up when I was trying to get a ride from Burger King to Owatana caz I just asked politely if they were already at Burger King and he rudely said no bye and hung up. You charge way to much for what you do and i heard one of your drivers in line at Taco bell yelling at this girl in the drive through to hurry up and called her very rude names like bitch, cunt , slut, whore and i couldn't believe what I was hearing from this person. Not doing business as a taxi cab company. Don't do cash calls and if they are its illegal as they are operating without a City of Mankato taxi cab license. There license expired Dec.31 2018. They are supposed to be doing medical calls only. read more

There are better services by far in the Mankato area such as Taxi Pros, or the primo service at WS Transportation! They are the best IMHO.

This was my first time going out in Mankato and the night started off horrible experience with Kato Cab. We had called for a cab and were told we had to wait for two fares to be picked up first. After we waited for what seemed like an eternity, we called back and they said our driver will call/text us when we were there. Lucky for us we had T-Mobile so we definitely had reception and we know we wouldn't miss the call/text. We decided to drive after waiting for so long. We probably shouldn't have, but we had no choice. We ended up making it out to the bars. (Don't remember which ones. There's like 4 right next around each other.) We didn't have much time at the bars due to Kato Cab's tardiness and they NEVER text us back! The pizza we had was subpar too. Needless to say we WON'T ever be using Kato Cab. read more

It takes freaking 30 mins to get a cab on a Saturday afternoon!!!!

Took an hour and a half when they said it would be 30 minutes. Missed my appointment and was extremely pissed. Negative 7 and a half stars.

Last night I had the opportunity to ride with THE BEST Kato driver around. Steve #36, you were so unbelievably amazing!!! Very reliable and just a genuine person overall! Last year when I used them they were very rude and not fast at all HOWEVER when I used them a few days ago they got to the location super fast and the driver was so sweet he was very careful while driving they have really stepped up their game :) I would highly recommend as of what I have seen lately. read more

If I could give 5 negative stars I would. Kato Cab SUCKS! Rude drivers, filthy cars, and the few times I have taken a cab, there was always a sense of shadyness about the route the driver took so I never got the same price! Horrible company. read more

Very disappointing. I called around 7:10pm for a taxi to a common location and was told it would be about 20 minutes, which was fine. 35 minutes later I called back and was told someone would be coming up the hill soon after dropping off a large party. After I had waited over an hour (no weather/snow problems, Tuesday night) I called back again to be told none of the drivers were near me but they would call me when one was finally dispatched. Given the wait and the inaccurate information that was provided to me twice, I was told that they couldn't comp the roughly $7 fare to compensate for the poor service. I continued to wait and finally got fed up and asked a friend to pick me up. The taxi arrived right after I called my friend and I had the courtesy to tell the driver that I had waited so long I called a friend. He made a nasty remark and drove off. I will NEVER use this service again as what I have experienced has been inconsistent at best and my most recent experience was completely unacceptable. I will also cease to recommend this service to large groups of people new to the area. I hope the $7 ride was worth it to them to lose my business and recommendation permanently. read more
