Our wedding was back on 10/10/10, so this is a long time coming, sorry of info has changed since then. I agree with much of what was said on the previous review. We used her for a wedding in St. John too. She seemed decent on the phone for the planning before the wedding but sometimes would miss complete details... We had to redo or question our invoices a few times. Once getting there for the wedding we found she wasn't too detail oriented. The wedding and after we're amazing... But there were just some off things about the experience. I liked having someone local for my piece of mind but I also think my Mom did the majority of the work. Side note, I hated that everything for her was through Facebook. I like public sites. One thing for her though... She gave some excellent recommendations for photography and makeup/hair. I used KatiLady Events to plan my wedding down in St John . . . MISTAKE! At first Kati seemed great to work with but once I got down to the island I realized she did not pay attention to detail which is a problem for an event planner. The villa she recommended I rent for it's "glorious views" had no view AT ALL. We had to change the location for my wedding ceremony just days before the wedding. On my wedding day she was calling me asking me what I wanted my cake to look like when I had sent her pictures months ago. She increased the cost of all of the vendors she had me used then "mistakenly" tried to charge me 20% gratuity on every line item on my invoice. Check every charge, check her math and then check your credit card because she charged my card a greater amount than was on the final invoice. I can't do my wedding day over but if I could I would NOT use KatiLady. My advice: Choose someone else to help you with your big day! read more

Katilady was WONDERFUL! Not only did she constantly bend over backward to make all my dreams come true, but she thought of everything, and accommodated my concerns from the moment of our first phone call to the last second that I needed her on my Big Day. She helped us pick vendors from her professional experiences with them, and we loved the florist, the cake, the food, the musicians, the photographer, the chaplain, the order of events, the fire dancer, the stylist, the salon attendants, the steel drum player, the servers, and her assistants. We felt like we mattered the most and all they wanted to do was see things the way we do, and make it perfect for us. Every step of the way she provided an invoice, and constant updates, she was reachable 24/7 to put our minds at ease, make adjustments to the plans, or just chat to get a feel for our mindset and hopes. She personally drove us all over the island to look at sights and get ideas for themes for several days to make a decision we were happy with. Planning was meticulous and show time was flawless. Smooth transitions, effortless for myself and my guest, breathtaking beauty, perfect execution of all the details, and even some last minute additions from my guest were incorporated seamlessly and not treated like the afterthoughts they were, but paramount portions of the ceremony and celebrations. She even brought all sorts of items with her, in case of a worst case scenario- saving us all with emergency extension eyelashes, a dress steamer, a sewing machine for a torn tablecloth, a net to catch an iguana, a beautiful circlet for my flower girl, extra corsages' for unexpected guests of honor, and extra music stand for the violinist, and emergency candy for the diabetic relatives. We will sing her praises forever. Katilady was ideal, and we wish that all intended couples would have such an incredible Wedding Day as she provided for us.
