I called Penny several times and also visited the store. They repeatedLu asked for the shirt's description, which I told them was a Ralph Louren button down tattersall size large. The shirt cost over $100 and was relatively new. They still haven't found the shirt nor offered and compensation for the loss. Penny doesn't seemed to care, so I'm warning my neighbors and friends to stay far away from this "establishment."

There's no way that some of these positive reviews aren't staff members or bots…read more I have never had such a terrible experience with a dry cleaner and I refuse to believe in a city like this full of financial professionals that they haven't mistreated other people too. I'll keep this short. First, they refused to help me without my claim ticket which I forgot in my car. I had to make several trips to this business just to pick up my suit. It's old fashioned and they don't even use computers apparently. So you can't just give them a phone number and they find you that way. You have to have the ticket or it's a major hassle for the business and the clerk. Second, cash only which I was not aware of so again I had to make another trip to a bank and pay an ATM fee or just have my partner come grab it later since I was leaving town and I was already in a rush. I was trying to pick this suit up on the way out. Third, when I complained about these things making clear that it wasn't the clerk I was angry at but the policies of business she mockingly smiled at me and laughed at me. Fourth, they're way more expensive than competing dry cleaners. Fifth, they completely destroyed the pleat of my suit jacket. The bottom now flares out and the lapel won't stay folded down. They didn't even do a good job after all this nonsense. Lastly, I dropped off my suit in a suit bag. They didn't return the suit bag with the suit and since it was my partner that picked it up... There were about 4-6 ties in that bag and I presume now they're just gone, although I'm going to call them as soon as they open. They are absolutely the worst ever dry cleaner I've ever dealt with. And I would advise you to stay away despite the location on Greenwich avenue. Don't make the mistake like I did of assuming the location implies competency.

We're trusting you with our personal, valuable clothing.... why else would anyone go to a dry cleaner if the items didn't matter to them? There's absolutely no reason to treat customers with that level of disrespect. They didn't even want to provide a receipt. How are customers supposed to prove they left their garments there without documentation? I was rushed out and told the items would be delivered, yet no one even asked for my name or apartment number. Completely unprofessional. Unsurprisingly, my item went missing for several days. It was a $400 jacket. Thankfully it was eventually found, but that situation should have never happened in the first place. Had it not turned up, I would have taken this to small claims court. You're lucky it was resolved but you will never get my business again

Everything was completed except for the white linen shirt in a few days. I thought that was odd but then was told by the front desk that it would be ready in a day. I come back 2 days later and then I'm told that my shirt has a tear in it from being "pressed." Do not bring any article of clothing to this establishment. I wish I had read reviews before I made that mistake but you live and learn. Trust me it's worth it to drive outside of Stamford to get a quality job done. I hope I save someone the grief I went through.

Their attitude toward the customer is courteous and professional and the quality of their work -- both dry cleaning and tailoring -- is excellent. We are so glad that we switched to Prospect and Summer St Cleaners after spending too many years and dollars at several other Stamford dry cleaning and tailoring services. Prospect and Summer St Cleaners are the best!
