I run a wedding band company called MJ Entertainment. We are known for our high standard for…read moretalent, which makes it very hard for us to find people we love to work with. Enter Lady J - from the first day we tried her services, we simply got 10 times more than we bargained for. She came early, completely prepared, asked all the right questions long beforehand, and even accommodated for an Indian wedding we did, providing a full set list with rarely known traditional Indian music that most DJs never have. From Top 40 to Latin to urban to country to rock classics to traditional world music... I would simply need to list all the genres in existence to make my point here... Lady J BRINGS it. She not only brings the music, but also the amazing aesthetic. For someone who works in the wedding industry, the importance of aesthetic cannot be stressed enough. Everything from her signature hairstyle, look (check out her instagram), sleek façade, and dance floor lighting makes her a one stop shop for any party big or small. She's extremely organized, friendly, easy to work with, and boasts a very quick response time on yelp. She is always our first call at MJ Entertainment and we are always lucky when we get to have her given how in demand she is. If you are looking for a custom party tailored to you and your event (and are lucky enough to catch her on a weekend she isn't booked), this is without a doubt your perfect DJ.

Instead of playing one song that gets everyone on the dance floor and another one that gets them off just as quickly Michael keeps the momentum going seamlessly. What I loved the most was I was able to give him a few songs that I wanted to hear and tell him the vibe I was looking for and he took over from there. No song list required. If you do want a particular song, make sure you let him know which version you want. You can completely trust his taste and skill. Everyone was thrilled with the music and had such a great time. He travels as well. Our event was in San Francisco. All the arrangements were done by email, Michael was quick to respond, professional and easy to work with. I hired him along with our labor of love to photograph and sharkpig to do the cinematography. It's a talented group of friends if you are able to hire them together. I would hire him anytime and would recommend him to anyone who wants everyone at their party to dance until they need to take their shoes off!

He was totally dialed in to the rhythm of the room and had everyone eating out of his hands. Each time a new song came on, there was a collective "WHOA" as it was just the perfect song for the vibe in the room at that time. So many people have told us unsolicited since that the dancing and specifically the DJ was one of their highs of the weekend. Do yourself a favor and BOOK FLASHDANCE!

We were blown away with our experience using DJ Jeff and Jen at Gold Dust Entertainment for our…read morerecent wedding! From the first meeting they were warm, professional and extremely organized! They provided a detailed timeline for us to fill in- it was so helpful and really made our vision come together, seeing how the music would be incorporated throughout the event. I didn't have time to make my whole playlist-- they have an amazing and extensive music database you can go into and choose as many songs as you would like to hear (or not hear!), and they ended up playing better song choices than I could have imagined! They added special touches, like after my dad gave his speech and mentioned he remembered dancing to "My Girl" with me when I was little, they incoporated that song into the night. My husband (the groom) had a musician friend pass away several years ago, and DJ Jeff was able to find some of his unreleased music and play it at the end, to surprise the groom- so special! I would highly recommend their services to anyone having a wedding or special event. This amazing duo is so tuned into their clients and really tie the whole event together with incredible music. I saw people that I had never seen dance before having an blast on the dance floor- they catered to all age groups and kept the party going-- we didn't leave until 12:30am!! :)

What was even more impressive was that I come from a Jewish family where the women are what I like to call "Natural Born Complainers" and they absolutely LOVED Jeff and Jennifer! We danced all night and had the time of our lives! We will never forget the wonderful job they did and will cherish those memorable moments forever. I wish there was more I could do to let people know how amazing these two people are...but this review will have to do. Thanks again :)

From the ceremony, to the wedding slideshow, all the way to the last dance...he was on point from start to end. We extended the party for another 30 minutes because we didn't want the night to end. Heck, I even asked my wife if we could throw another wedding reception just to book DJ Allen again! He is so professional, easy-going, and down-to-earth. He works hard and communicates with you to make your wedding night perfect. He DJ'd my brother's wedding a few years ago. My brother referred him to a few of his friends and when my time came around, I didn't hesitate. Overall, it was a great partnership. Thank you DJ Allen!

We will never forget him, he is everything you'd ever want and need. He also has custom colored lights to rent! We met Dj Allen in person after contacting him and we had such a wonderful conversation about my and my wife's relationship, our lives, our family as well as his family. He is so down to earth and 100% gets it and is one of the calmest people we've ever met. He had everything covered for our wedding, he asked us our musical preferences, as well as a DO NOT PLAY list to avoid playing a song we didn't want when he was taking requests from our guests. He developed a custom wedding playlist for us and played it throughout the night. We loved every single song he played and his pacing with song selection was PERFECT! Nothing kills the dance floor like a pump up song followed by an emotional ballad. DJ A-Dub knows what he's doing and did not let that happen. Our dance floor was packed and everyone was up on their feet thanks to him. His announcing was perfect, the introductions were seamless and flawless. He was able to time our intro song perfectly between 5 sets of bridesmaids and groomsmen and us. At the time of our wedding we didn't realize it but after watching another wedding intro and how their song looped terribly, we realized how much of a genius Allen is. He nailed all of the name pronunciations and made sure that all of our guests knew what was happening as far as the 1st dance, father/daughter and mother/dances. He also has custom LED lights we rented from him that were matched perfectly to our wedding colors. His lights matched our tones and theme beautifully and it really pumped up the dance floor and our venue. Your DJ is as important as your photographer and even the wedding planner. The DJ is responsible for the flow, timing, and spacing of your entire wedding once the ceremony is over. (or during your ceremony if you'd like). Thanks to Allen our wedding was so seamless that we were able to relax and just enjoy our wedding reception and dance the night away. Every emotional and important moment of our reception was so special and memorable thanks to Allen. Please contact him, he is one of the best in the business and genuinely cares about his couples. I promise that if you meet him, you will be over the moon at how masterful he is at his craft and how much he will help and take care of you during your wedding. We can't thank you enough Allen! -Daniel and Rebecca.
