If I could give this review 100 stars, I would. I called this florist based on other reviews and pictures, and I was NOT disappointed! I'm out of state and was wanting a special bouquet for my mom's 75th birthday. I've ordered from other local florists in the past, as well as online florists and have always been underwhelmed. Kim was polite and stated she would put something special together for my mom. My mom was so excited and couldn't stop talking about the beautiful arrangement she received. I'm so grateful that even though I wasn't able to be there for her birthday, through Kim, I was able to make her day special! Thank you so much, and would 1,000% recommend! read more

We got our wedding flowers from Kathy's Florist for our June wedding at Meyers Castle. Kim was such a joy to work with. She is so sweet and brought our vision to life! She was very quick to respond when we had questions or requests. My bouquet was absolutely stunning. I showed her an inspo picture and it is identical! When I dropped it off to get preserved the lady said she's never seen anything like it before. (painted black leaves) just stunning! Thank you Kim for making our day so magical! Highly recommend Kathy's Florist for your wedding day needs! read more

As my wedding neared, and almost all of the details were done, I had a quick kick in the pants when I realized I still hadn't spoken to a florist. Because I was planning my wedding from Washington, DC, I had to make a list of NWI Indiana florists to start making calls, about a month before the big day. And I'll preface this with how much I hate cold calling. Kathy's was the first phone number on my list, and I was expecting someone to answer and say "Sorry, your wedding is only a month a way, we're already booked up for the day." Instead, the woman that answered made me feel totally at ease. She was so nice, and so cool about everything, that I made an appointment for the next time I was in town, and didn't even bother to call anyone else on my list. And then... I showed up late for my appointment, because my bridesmaid and I had a thousand errands to run while I was town. No problem! They stayed late and went through all of my ideas with me, and put together an amazing sample bouquet with all of the cluttered ideas I had in my head, all while keeping my budget in mind. On the morning of my wedding, when they made the deliveries, they pointed out a few of the extra special touches they added, such as wrapping burlap around our bare mason jars. We loved it! I had so many compliments with the bouquets and table settings, you would have thought I planned it all out months ahead of time with tons of thought. Thank you Kathy's for helping make my wedding that much more beautiful! read more

Picture this scenario if you will: the love of your life proposes in October. You ecstatically say yes and spend a few weeks basking in the glow of congratulatory engagement haze. Presents start rolling in, people are calling for nuptial news, and the two of you decide that you should start planning this wedding festival. A date is set (Nov. 23, 2012--Black Friday), preliminary plans begin, and then it all starts to blow up waaaay past the wedding you imagined. Guest lists double (then triple), tour dates may end up causing a date change, and it seems no one wants to talk about anything other than the wedding. And you, my friend, are already sick-to-death of talking about this wedding. What is a decidedly low-key couple to do? Plan a spur-of-the-moment New Year's Eve wedding for twenty of your closest friends and family, of course! The only problem with planning a wedding in less than 48 hours? Flowers. On December 30th, florists do not want to even speak to you about simple bouquets; even if you don't give a whit about what kind of flowers they have available to stick in them. Enter Kathy's Florist. My fiance and I, along with our maid-of-honor (my daughter), popped in to Kathy's around 1:00 on Friday afternoon to ask about the possibility of cobbling together any sort of bouquet for my daughter and I. Not only did Kathy's agree to whip up the bouquets, they did everything they could to add flowers that complimented our colors (mine, fuchsia and teal for my daughter). They also did a matching boutonniere for my husband-to-be. All promised for 9:30 the next morning. Now, I will be honest; I wasn't picky about the bouquets but I wasn't expecting much. The bouquets that Kathy put together were bright, and quite beautiful. Were they fancy? No. Daisies, carnations, roses, et cetera. Each complimented our outfits *and* each other. Each one of my guests commented on the vibrant color of the flowers against the winter sky. If this is what Kathy does with less than 24 hours notice, I can't wait to see what she does when given adequate time. read more

I absolutely love Kathy's Florist and would 100% recommend to everyone! I live in Texas but all of my family is in NWI. Finding a good florist has been complicated but I am so glad I found Kim at Kathy's Florist. Kim was able to complete my order within reasonable time, patiently answered all of my questions, and went above and beyond to help me with two bouquets I ordered. Both of my grandmothers have very different taste and Kim was able to bring both personalities to light through the flowers. She was also kind enough to send me photos of the flowers prior to me following through with my purchase. Kim was so lively over the phone which honestly is something that also motivates me to call back and order again! read more

This shop does great work at reasonable prices. They listened to my ideas for my wedding flowers and made beautiful creations! They went above and beyond. Kathy is very friendly and answers any questions you may have. My bouquet was better than I imagined it would be. She made table centerpieces that my guests loved! Also, they don't mind traveling a little. My wedding venue was about 45 minutes to an hour away from the shop and her travel fee was not too much. Highly recommended for any flower needs. read more

Great work for a low price! Kathy did the flowers for my wedding in April 2014, and I was very satisfied with the quality and value. Make the reservation was easy, and with all her experience, Kathy was able to take my vague ideas and make them something beautiful. I went in with a small budget, and I was so pleased not to be hassled into paying more or pressured into adding more extras. read more

Our wedding flowers turned out so amazing thanks to Mary at Kathy's florist!!!! We had a odd request of having everything made out of pages from the Harry Potter books. Everything was so perfect and was exactly what we wanted and then some! I would recommend Kathy's florist to everyone! read more

We chose Kathy's to do funeral flowers for my mom. The florist told us she used to deliver a floral arrangement to my mom every year around Christmas time and remembered her! We wanted something different than the options in the book. She let us come into the workroom to see the piece she was working on as an example. It was perfect! The flowers were delivered to the church and were so fresh and breathtakingly arranged! Kathy's is my permanent florist! read more

Had a WONDERFUL experience with Kathy's florist. They did my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, all corsages and boutineers, church flowers and reception centerpieces. All of the flowers were amazing and fresh and we got MANY compliments on how beautiful our flowers were. They listened to what we wanted and also gave us tips on what flowers they thought would go well with our color scheme. I could not imagine my wedding flowers being any nicer than they were. They were above and beyond what I had imagined. Also, the prices were not too bad and they delivered all of our flowers on time and set up our centerpieces for us. Once again Yelp was a great source in finding a vendor for my wedding. Since I live over an hour from my wedding venue, I was not familiar with any florists in the area. Kathy's is family owned and treat you like family. They gave me exactly what I asked for and were VERY resaonably priced. I definitely use them again for any floral needs in their area. A BIG thanks to all of them!!! read more

My husband used Kathy's to send me some Iris. They arrived 10 stems, completely closed and all the same length. They were haphazardly placed in a vase with some greenery that had brown spots throughout. If you look at any of the pictures of Iris arrangements they are always placed in various heights so when they bloom, they form a beautiful bouquet. I called and complained and was told that the owner would be told of my disappointment with the flowers. I never heard back. These flowers never bloomed. read more

I called and ordered a bouquet for a sick friend. I said I wanted something around $30 and they put together a beautiful bouquet in a glass vase and delivered it that day. When no one answered the door, the driver called me for instructions and we sorted it out. Great value, great service! Use them if you're sending flowers locally instead of ftd or similar. Just give them a call. They do seem to have limited hours: Typical of a small business. read more
