Great Veteran Hospital…read more Friendly, helpful and caring staff. All wonderful from the receptionist to the Vets and everyone in between. We've been going to Stack's ever since we moved into the area and could not be happier with the quality of sincere care from day one. Yes, a total Friends and Family recommendations.

Then he developed a severe limp and they put him on gabapentin, again we called and repeatedly brought him in for exams and consistently called about him having a problem with the drug not helping him. At this point I insisted on xrays and ultrasound be done, they had us do bloodwork and told us if we paid an extra $89 for an official pancreatitis test that would be definitive diagnosis that would give us the result that we needed. They could not perform an ultrasound so we had to take him to the emergency vet on Bridge Street in a Syracuse. Come to find out our dog did not have pancreatitis as the vet said the blood test revealed but had full pledge lymphoma, (his neck and jaw presented with hard nodules by the ex vet) and we had to put him down. The emergency vet said the blood test that Stacks office gave us for pancreatitis was not a definitive test for that. So which is it? So disgusted with the lack of concern given toward our dog. It wasn't until i insisted on testing because I was concerned of cancer that a closer look was finally given by the Stack Vet. Extremely upset that we had to put our dog down. Think twice about going there. They gouge you for pricing and never addressed his health until i threatened legal action.

I cannot recommend this practice enough. I've had very few animals over the years, and their…read morededication to not only the animal but the human is absolutely top notch. It was discovered that my 12 year old cat Pippin had a belly full of cancer. They did everything they could to prop him up to try to give me a few more days with him. When it came time to say good bye, as difficult as the entire process was, they treated it as a very solemn occasion, ushering us into a room as soon as we entered the door. They're on point when it comes to wellness as well. Staff are knowledgeable (I was there and heard one on the phone with an owner whose dog went into heat for the 1st time and needed to be talked off the ledge) and compassionate. I don't expect to be a pet owner for a number of years, but thank you, Dr. Alina, for being SO kind and gracious to Pippin as well as myself. I'm happy for you that you're moving on. This practice, very fortunately, has other amazing vets but you WILL be missed.

They accommodated my cat so she wasn't stressed and in my opinion went above and beyond to make her and I feel safe. We saw Dr. Tsareva and she was absolutely phenomenal. Often times, it is very difficult to get through to them on the phone. I am fairly certain it is…read morebecause they don't have a dedicated receptionist. Everyone there is working directly to care for our pets, hands on. It can be frustrating but I also think that is reflected in the cost of their care. They are, by far, the most reasonablely priced vet clinic in Syracuse. Another difference, which can be hard as a pet owner: they don't allow you to enter their clinic with your pet. It's hard for us to not be there with our babies. I do understand why though. Through the pandemic, that was a necessary change. Animal clinics realized how much easier was. We think our pets are comforted by having us with them but often it increased their anxiety, and the vet staff sees that. The Dodge and Dr Jensen have come right out to my car to discuss my concerns. Sometimes it's just a phone call. Either way, they take their time to make sure your pet is well cared for and that you have addressed your concerns. We went through a really scary life threatening illness with one of our dogs and they went above and beyond to help us. I will be forever grateful for how they treated us and our pup through that terrifying ordeal. Dr Jensen and Dr Dodge truly care about their patients.

Honestly, I should have left a long time ago but just stayed because it's a couple blocks away. About 2 months ago I had to practically beg for them to see my dog because she had been vomiting non stop. Meanwhile, I spent close to $10,000 the prior year between dental and yearly exams for my three dogs (not to mention in the middle of the dental procedure they tired to get me for an additional $1,000). Unfortunately, I happened to get my least favorite DMV Dr Shopchak. My dog's kidneys were shutting down and Dr Shopchak was telling me that it's been so busy she couldn't even take a break. Did she honestly think I cared whether she got a break or not? Cry on someone else's shoulder because my only interest was how sick my dog was. At that point I knew immediately I would never step foot in there again. I brought my dog to Cornell the next day and they had the nerve to call me and say if she needs anything else just let them know. Are you kidding me like I said I had to beg to get my dog into Lyncourt 2 days prior. I could list a hundred reasons why a pet owner should never step foot in that office. Do yourself a favor if you care about your pets go elsewhere. However, if you want to spend a boatload of cash for mediocre service Lyncourt is your vet! What could improve first step get rid of Shopchak and replace her with a kind compassionate DMV and no one needs your videos on what to expect at your pet's appointment. Also do yourself a favor and review the pet's chart before you step into the exam room instead acting like it's your first day on the job. I've toyed with writing this review for weeks thinking maybe it's best just to switch vets and go away quietly BUT it's more important to make people aware of what it's really like there. They're in it for the cash not for the benefit of our precious pets.
