The Good: Dr. Bonesteal is a exceptionally talented practitioner. My son really liked him, and our family deeply appreciated his insights and feedback. Most importantly, we saw real improvement in my son from the neurofeedback sessions. The Issue: Unfortunately, the intake and billing processes were poorly handled. Before scheduling, I explicitly budgeted for our first appointment after being told by intake that it would only cost $500. However, they ran an unapproved $2,000 psychosocial evaluation. My son had already had one done previously, and our pediatrician explicitly confirmed we did not need retesting. When they initially charged my card without authorization, I called billing. They acknowledged the miscommunication, apologized, and removed the charge. Surprisingly, they hadn't even billed our insurance before trying to charge my card directly. Shortly after, I received a new bill for the remaining balance after insurance was submitted. I spoke with Jen on four separate occasions. Initially, she was apologetic, had me submit my son's previous evaluation, and assured me they were working on a solution. Based on her reassurance that they were resolving it, I continued to pay in full for all subsequent visits. However, on our fourth call, her tone completely shifted. She blamed me for "not knowing" what testing was taking place during his appointment--despite me not being a clinical expert and relying on their initial $500 quote. In the end, no resolution was ever provided. Despite four phone calls where they apologized and promised to work it out, they sent me to collections for a $2,000 evaluation I never consented to or was clearly informed about. I truly appreciate Dr. Bonesteal's talent, but potential patients need to be extremely cautious and get every billing details in writing beforehand.

I only write this review so that it can help others considering Dr. Beaumont. I was a patient for…read moreroughly four months, having come to seek help with my anxiety issues (as this was listed as one of her specialities). As stated by others, Dr. Beaumont is a nice person and scheduling appointments was always easy. However, I left after four months because I recognized that I had made no progress in working to alleviate my issues. During several sessions, I mentioned various scenarios that induce anxiety and asked for actionable tips on what I can do to work to improve. Somehow Dr. Beaumont would either go off on a tangent regarding something actually irrelevant in her personal life, or try to guess (yes, guess) why I felt the way I stated in certain situations. The guesses were solely based on my appearance and what she'd learned about me up to that point. I can honestly say that the primary advice I received regarding my social anxiety was the following: Try asking people about themselves when starting a conversation, but avoid talking about politics and religion. Try complimenting people on what they're wearing and strike up a conversation from there. This is VERY common advice that I could have found in innumerable articles online instead of spending hundreds of dollars in therapy. Also, she suggested after only a few sessions that I consider anxiety medication, which is actually just antidepressants. She touted the potential benefits and a red flag went off for me at that point because she didn't even try to help me get to the root of my issues. It was a band-aid approach. Overall, I was very dissatisfied because I did not have a quality therapy experience with Dr. Beaumont. I would urge anyone who is looking for help with anxiety issues to seek assistance elsewhere. I hope this helps someone make a smart therapy decision.

My concerns are the following: 1) he hung up the phone abruptly while I was speaking 2) there were no clear directions given on how the session would be conducted on the telephone (was he going to call l either one of us on the phone or was one person supposed to be on 3 way expecting a call from him) 3) he called me 2 mins before the scheduled session was supposed to end ( we had booked our calendars to sync for this time and there was no prior communication that there would be a possible delay) In closing, I have been in email contact with Mr. Moore for a few weeks and was looking forward to this session.  My interaction briefly on the phone with him was unprofessional and not representative of any Therapist I've interacted with in the past.  As a solution, I recommend that instructions on the portal and/or explanation be given in the email appointment confirmation that a Service Provider from your company would possibly be late due to a previous session.  To add, if at any point during a consultation or therapy services there isn't a match between the therapist and the client it would be a positive experience to have this discussed and then part ways.

I was able to connect with the clinic directly by phone and they were able to schedule an appointment with the doctor I wanted to work with, but it would be a telehealth visit. That was fine with me as I live an hour away from the clinic. I will have to have 1 in-person visit per year, so that's do-able. The doctor was very patient, kind, listened to my questions and concerns, and for the first time, I actually felt heard by a psychiatrist. I'm glad I found this practice and I'm looking forward to getting back to feeling better.
