It's obvious that he genuinely enjoys what he does and has a great understanding of hair. He was confident with his techniques, professional, and very kind throughout the appointment. Most importantly, he fixed the face-framing pieces I had been unhappy with and gave me a haircut that feels much more flattering and intentional. I paid $620 total (including a 15% tip, $540 before tip) for a balayage and haircut, which felt extremely high--especially considering the haircut alone was only $80. During the appointment, the experience itself was uncomfortable. Chemicals were dripping onto my face, leaving stains on my forehead, and when my hair was washed, the water was cold and splashed everywhere. A few days later, after washing and styling my hair the way I normally do, I noticed how off the balayage looked. My roots already appeared very grown out--almost halfway down my head. I understand balayage is meant to grow out naturally, but this looked like it had been done months ago when it had only been a week. Even my family commented that it looked grown out. I called the salon to see if they could fix the top portion, and I was told my stylist, Angel, would call me back--but I never heard from her. Overall, I'm really disappointed. Not only was the service expensive, but the results didn't meet expectations, and there was no follow-up or effort to make it right.

The owner later called me and said that even this partial refund was a "favor" because they normally don't issue refunds. She also made a point of telling me that she has a legal education, which I found particularly surprising considering her apparent lack of understanding of basic consumer protection principles when a paid service is not delivered as agreed. Very disappointing service and an even more disappointing response to a legitimate customer complaint.

There's a moment during a foil color treatment where you have no idea what you're going to look like in 10 minutes. Not a clue. Kate is AMAZING!! she did my hair and makeup for my wedding last month in March and she did such an awesome job, my hairstyle lasted through the night and my makeup was great! I got so many compliments on them both. I honestly recommend Kate she is very nice, trusting, and professional. She has done my hair before and well I know that if I go to her she will take care of me for sure!!! Beware of Kate. She mistaken assertiveness for rudeness. If you don't kiss her a** she'll give you a difficult time. Her attitude is ridiculous. Have you ever wonder why there are no poor reviews? She deletes them and threatens the client. One would see poor reviews as constructive criticism. Kate doesn't have the mental capacity to comprehend the meaning of constructive criticism. Tried to set an appointment for hair cut and color. Kate said 10 am Friday was set but with a different stylist named May? Anyway she said $10 deposit to confirm appt THEN she turns around and says $25. What legitimate business that claims to be real not know how much is the deposit. Wow. Never even going to try her or her stylists. Kate left me with a bad taste. She needs to quit this and do open mic in Hollywood. She's a joke. read more
