Where to get the best semla in town?…read more
Malmö resident Richard S quickly replied that we needed to go to Martins Konditori.
Tucked in the ethnic food quarter in Malmö, this place is easy to miss, but it's actually just a short walk from Triangeln station.
The decor is old fashioned, proven by the flowery curtains and the tartan patterned seatings and the marble tables but it does give the authencity feel, that you know they're making their pastry their old fashioned way, as your Scandinavian grandma would have made them.
Price is on the fair side, but don't expect much of a service. The grandma that owns and serves the place can be rather grumpy as Richard S pointed out, so make sure you keep on eyes on the pastries only.
Like in most places in Sweden, drinks (coffee and tea) are included, so this is definitely a good place to do your fika.
As for the semla, they were good!
