I found this tapas / Spanish traditional restaurant while strolling by. I was greeted by a very friendly hostess who spoke very good English. My server quickly greeted me and I was able to point and inquire about the various choices at the bar. After making my choices my plate was warmed and in front of me in 4 minutes. The food was excellent and tasted very fresh. It is 9pm and I am told this is the perfect time for a dinner meal. There is a menu for fresh plates as well which I did not try. The ambiance is very relaxing, the place is full but not crowded. I think the seating and fixturing is upscale and very clean. The lighting is more intimate and the fresh food and cafe smells fill the air. I have had many servers tend to me and they have all been cheerful and polite. My Spanglish is asi asi and this has not impacted my experience at all. I am not fully educated on what makes a great tapas establishment but from my perspective of eating out this was a great choice and I am glad I made it. Que te diviertas! read more

Nice tapas place with Basques influences. You choose from tapas on display and the personnel heats it up for you. It is a funny twist but it doesn't give you the feeling it's all that freshly prepared. Our food arrived at our table and it was still kind of lukewarm. Compared to other tapas places nearby, it is a bit more pricey and for me, that doesn't show from the service or the quality of the food. The food is okay, but not brilliant. I rarely review, but this place deserves a reckoning. Stopped here tonight on our last night in Spain after nonstop amazing dining experiences. First of all...I will let you know that I am very courteous and friendly and gracious while visiting any establishment, especially while traveling, and have been throughout Spain. Right away my gf (who is Spanish) and I were met by the rudest guy ever who acted like he would rather be anywhere but working at this place, and annoyed that customers had decided to enter. I almost, and should have, left immediately.. however we stayed and ended up enduring the most generic tapas and horribly unfriendly service in all of Spain. Avoid this place... I have been here with a local friend from Alicante, and as soon as we entered we saw a very wide choice of tapas available. We took a seat right by the desk and ordered 4 different tapas each. Quantity was generous and quality very good! The 4 tapas have been more than enough, and we fest pretty full afterwards. Add a beer, and we paid something around €12 each! Great service and delightful concept with a reasonable price. The place was crowded when we arrived but they still served us the "copitas de cava" so we stay for a while. After a couple of minutes we got the seats at the counter. There's a huge range of tapas to choose from. Some of them are cold and ready to eat. Some needs to be shipped to the kitchen to be cooked first. I am really happy that I spotted this place on the first day. read more
