Dishonest, sketchy, unprofessional. Called Monday 5/7/18 to order a part I saw online…read more Due to the bad reviews and my 'spidey sense' going off, I wanted to pay it with PayPal which they do accept as they have an eBay store. Employees also said this would be fine. Also, the price of the part on car-part was listed as $150, when I spoke to the guy he said it would be $280! What kind of games are you playing? I told them I would pay $250 shipped which gives them $100 bucks over the price of the part to ship it, I think extremely generous. They said, no problem the Billing Department will send me a PayPal invoice by end of day and they would get it out the door right away. No call or email from them. Tuesday 5/8 waited until noon. They said there was some kind of 'SERVER' issue but they would get the invoice out by the end of the day. A server issue? You run your own PayPal server??? Obviously it doesn't make sense. No email/phone call. Wednesday 5/9 called in the morning and was told the weather was really bad and the guy I needed to talk to was delayed coming in. I checked the weather for their location and it was 82 degrees and party cloudy. I just love being lied to. Wednesday afternoon called again and was told I would hear something within the next 2 hours. Of course, no email / phone. Thursday 5/10 Called again and given another asinine excuse / lie. No call/email from them. Friday 5/11 Called again and given another asinine excuse / lie. No call/email from them. I am trying to give them money (a premium price at that) and they continue to lie and play games. Enough. Imagine how bad they would be for some kind of service if they are playing these kinds of games and lying on the sales side. I urge everyone looking for a part to no only use car-part.com but also check out autopartssearch.com. The later has some vendors which car-part does not have.

I've been waiting for 2 MONTHS to get the CORRECT part for my vehicle. The first part sent took two weeks to arrive and was the WRONG PART. Called and they said they would send a new part. STILL WAITING 2 MONTHS later and NO PART. I have chatted with them nearly every week since I ordered the part. I've been told I will get a refund along with the part I ordered and have not received either. I have filed a formal complaint with my credit card company. If I am not getting the part I ordered I should at least get my money back!!! Be wary of this company. They can get your credit card number correct, but apparently nothing else (i.e. address)!!! Sincerely, Katherine Fletcher with the Land Rover in desperate need of a right side mirror!

They have an online search on their website, I had already searched and found they had 8. I wanted a certain color and they had it and all the same exact price. I called to verify, yes they did have it and also the guy said the exact price. So I drive the hour through traffic to get to them, counter guy asks what I was looking for, told him, gave the stock number and he said a higher price.......whoa, wait a min. I argued that I saw online and called, now that I am here and might not be covered in filth wearing clean clothes the price went up????? Then tries to tell me that glass was extra, when online it stated complete. And you can't remove the glass with out power to actually open it. He took me out to the yard to inspect. I said ok, but only at the online and quoted price. They did remove, moved it and put in my vehicle. I will give them that. While I was waiting inside for the guy I guess to go look for 10 min, another guy comes in saying he called about a window for an LR2. The parts guy said 80.00, the customer said no, I called and you all said 60.00, I did not drive all this way to get ripped off. No idea how that worked out. Will stick to pick n pull next time!!!!! Cheaper and you can pick out what is needed instead of it being like a jail with a warden limiting your activities!

I should up and let them know I'm here for the taillight it takes a while because they're really busy at that time but they got the light to me pretty fast. They had what I needed in stock and I went home with the part that same day. Awesome service!

Negotiating for a part can be a bit more challenging here vs. other salvage yards. Clemente is very helpful but does charge high prices for parts that can be purchased for half the cost at salvage yards on Jefferson in Dallas.

I called before hand to make sure they had a replacement engine for a 1997 Wrangler and they said they did. I drove out there and lo and behold, they actually had the engine I asked for. If you don't know, other yards will tell you they have it, but they may not have the actual engine you're looking for, it could be a cross-referenced engine from a different year or something else. And true, they may be the same engine but there are times when you want to avoid certain years that engine was manufactured because of defects from that year or for whatever reason. When I arrived, I asked for the engine, they said, "Do you want to see it?" "Sure." They take me back to the back where the engines are and there it is. All the engines are on dollies which is really awesome. I take a look, it looks fine, nothing looks broken or bent or whatever. I pay for it and they ask for the core charge in cash. That was a bit weird, since I wanted to put it on a credit card, but I was glad that I had enough cash. The engine was in great shape, actually. The inside was super clean. I did replace most of the gaskets, water pump, spark plugs, etc., because I want this new engine to last a long time without leaking oil. Loading up the engine was easy, they had their mechanic hoist it up on the cherry picker and load it up in the back of my truck. He even offered me a tire to cushion the engine so it wouldn't sit directly on the bed. The people were very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I needed anything else. Probably one of the better, if not best, experiences I've had with a yard in the past 20 years. Returning the engine for the core charge was relatively easy. I did have to find the paperwork, but I already expected that and knew where it was. They did ask me where the distributor cap was but I let them know that it was broken when I bought the engine and they didn't make a fuss over it. I got my cash and off I went. They have a fuzzy cat that hangs around the yard. Was friendly enough to come up and let me pet him/her.

I was so impressed by their customer service!!!…read more I ordered a part for my tC from their junkyard and they accidentally mailed me the wrong part (very quickly I might add). When I got it and emailed them, I received an immediate reply (within an hour), with a sincere apology and they told me they would rush the correct part to me. They even let me keep the wrong part. Although I don't need the wrong part, it was nice that I didn't have to figure out how to ship it back. 5 stars for a great deal, fast delivery, parts I couldn't find locally, and unheard of customer service! This should be plenty of time for them to pull the part and have it ready by the time I got there and before they ya closed. I had a credit card ready to give on the phone as well. The sales guy I talked to was not at the location and informed me that most of the sales are not actually there. So he then transferred me to some one who worked there. The guy who answered was rude right when he answered and was quick to let me know they couldn't pull the part. Then asked me what the make and model was that's when I heard a ring tone and the original sales guy then answered the phone again. Me not realizing what happened there asked again if they might be able to pull the part. I needed the part the same day because I was headed out of town to work. Needless to say I'm still with out that part. This could have gone way differently and much more pleasant had they had a little better customer service. I can't review the quality of the part but I can say that the costumer service was very poor. I'm not one to write a bad review either. So if your in the Fort Worth Haltom City area around 4:30 or 5 do not plan on getting a part from from Late Model Auto Salvage.

After driving over an hour to get there they sold me the part for 50 dollars and gave me a receipt in hand. The owner or guy in charge(little short weird looking guy bad hair cut and hair slick back) said they could not give it to me (after I had paid and had receipt in hand could. I could have called the cops) unless I paid an additional 50 dollars for the window I didn't need. I was forced to agree because all other yards were closing. I waited over an hour and then they broke the piece on the window I needed(karma). The owner tried to get me to buy the part from another car that wasn't compatible. The one they cracked the owner refused to give me a responsible discount. I wasn't even sure I could glue it back and it would even stay put. Stay away for GLEN AND JERRY as owner (guy in charge) is very this dishonest.
