I simply ADORE Kat! I've actually know Kat for about a year now and I'm not completely sure why it's taken me this long to jump ship with my previous hair stylist to her - but I'm so glad I did! She is not only a fantastic stylist, but such a wonderful person. She is knowledgeable, professional and so informative. I went to Kat because she specializes in tape-in hair extensions. I have never had any time of extensions in my hair before and leading up to the appointment I went in for a consult with Kat and she was very thorough with the process, informing me what I would expect from them. She even has a printed pamphlet of care after the extensions are put in. Color wise I was going from light to dark, and my hair length hit a couple inches past my shoulders, and told her I wanted to go longer (around mid-back being the shortest). We spoke about the different lengths and color choices for the extensions itself and we both decided on the ones we thought were the best. The day the extensions were put in she ended up buying 2 different darker shades which worked so nicely! Instead of one boring color she gave my hair more dimension. She trimmed my hair so the extensions and my natural hair would blend better. It was so odd seeing my hair dark again, but I LOVE IT! After bleaching and dying my hair for the last couple years (I'm naturally very dark) she made my hair look so healthy again (thanks to the conditioning treatment she did). What a wonderful experience! I went to The Workshop for the first time last night. When I first arrived I was greeted with the warmest welcome by Kat Black. She gave me a tour of their facilities offering water, tea, treats and some history and information about the salon. She then spent time asking me questions about my hair history and how I would like it cut now. The hair wash room is very relaxing, included great smelling products, calming music and head massage. She spent quality time cutting and styling my hair and it came out just like I wanted. I love my haircut. She offered advice on products to help make my hair smooth and healthy, but I did not feel pressure to buy products or extra services like I so often do at other salons. Kat Black is the BEST! I have had my hair styled by her for 2 weddings and when it was my turn to get married I didn't even hesitate to contact her. She is so talented and can complete any hair style you want.
