We met Bill on a whim through a professional referral. He was fantastic! He informed me prior of…read moreeverything to bring to the appointment to allow it to go smoother. We did just that and unfortunately (last minute) had to bring our two young children to the meeting when we went to file our taxes. He seemed un-phased by this which was great for us. We sat down for a minimal period of time and the business was completed right then and there. He had everything complete in about 30-45 minutes and all we needed was to sign on the dotted lines. Two weeks later, our refund was direct deposited into our account and we couldn't have been more satisfied with Mr. Carpenter's professionalism, speed, and trustworthiness. A week later, I advised my elderly mother to go to him with her paperwork as he offered to look it over for her. She did just that, and after an hour's worth of his time, he laid out the different options she had this year for her tax filing. She chose an option that allowed her to hold off filing for a year since she had income mostly from Social Security, and Bill still didn't charge her for his time. We surely found our family accountant!

On another issue, he said he would get to one of my tasks by a certain date - he did not. After following up the next week (I thought I was being patient), his secretary informed me that he went on vacation... Fast forward to today, I have some questions regarding the work we did last year, and he's just straight up ignoring me now. Takes a lot for me to write a scathing review, but this is pretty nuts. Trying to help others avoid this.

I spoke with a female who assured me that my appointment was booked after a little bit of a back and forth trying to find the right time. I walked in and guess what? The fool didn't book my appointment after all! I recognized her voice as soon as she she greeted us and told me I didn't have the appointment. I repeated the conversation verbatim as she looked at me then looked at the floor trying to disown her mistake. She consistently tried to get me to come another day and at two different points I did let her know that I knew it was her. Not even an apology! Own up to your screw up.
