They said they looked at it for a little bit and ordered a few parts that they may arrive the following day. They said they were going to put the parts on "to see what that would do". When asked if replacing parts without authorization or without knowing the cause of the problem was standard practice they had no answer. Told them I was coming to pick up my car and I would take it elsewhere. When I arrived I was told it would be a few minutes because they had to jump the car. Drove the car home and it hasn't started since. Wasn't a problem before. Had to tow the car to the next repair shop. Charged $40 for the "repair".

I tried the smaller charger first, but it failed to charge. I went inside and asked for help. Not one, but two guys came out to help me. They had me move over to the big charger and showed me how I must remove the rubber stopper from the cars charge port to reveal the cars high voltage contacts. And now, the huge nozzle fits! He showed me how to scan the charger pedestal with my card and the whole apparatus came to life! This charger at Petersons is like a fast charger on steroids. The voltage was nearly 1000 v. Comparatively other Charge Point Chargers are around 600v. It was impressive to watch the percentage gauge just tick upwards rapidly. So unlike my old Model S at home that takes 40 minutes for an 80% charge. This car (Ionic 5) was delivered a 100% charge in 30 minutes. Very impressive. Many thanks to all I met that day at Petersons. Oh, and by the way check out the air conditioned showroom while you're waiting. There is a supercharged hemi Ram that could easily be yours!

As opposed to the normal $22 or so at a normal EV charging spot. I guess they can charge you whatever they want since they're the only game in town. I wonder if this reflects on the other areas of their business?
