Turns out I needed antibiotics and urgent care diagnosed me with an outer ear infection and only gave me ear drops, making the problem worse. A few weeks after the infection I woke up in the middle of the night with this horrible pain and ringing in my ear and I lost hearing in one ear for weeks. I went to an ent and got put on antibiotics and had to keep seeing him for a few months to get my hearing back in that ear. But there have been times when family first urgent care has been great. I would say if you're going for a standard test, like a strep test or something or if it's a Saturday or Sunday and no one else is open and you're desperate, then they're fine.

Extended hours that are far better than others in the area. + Location very easy to get to. + Adequate amount of parking. + Walk ins accepted. + Vast acceptance of insurance types. Cons: - Unprofessional and Rude Staff. Customer service is not their skill set. - Wait time can pass 1 hours with only a handful of people waiting. - Incorrect filing of dates and categorization of visit. Unskilled billing personnel. - Dated and not a cleanest place. There are too many other professional establishments in the area to choose from. Granted the hours are excellent, but that is basically the only advantage this place has over the other as well as accepting nearly any type of insurance. If you're looking for a fantastic pediatricians to take care of your little one but can tolerate bad customer service from other staff, then this place may work for you. The women at the front desk are welcoming, the nurses are kind and professional, and I have always been able to get an appointment the same day when my daughter is sick. They have extended office hours too, and the one time I needed to call outside of office hours, I got a call back right away. Dr. Mate helped support me when I was having a difficult time breastfeeding. He encouraged me to stick with it if that's what I wanted, but also told me it was okay to supplement with formula when my daughter started losing weight. I was at a very vulnerable point as a new mom, and I appreciated his non-judgmental, comforting approach. He was sensitive to my postpartum emotions and helped relieve the pressure I was putting on myself. At every visit, he takes the time to thoroughly answer my questions and his explanations seem to be based on the most current research. I can't personally speak about the rest of the doctors in this practice, but I would definitely recommend Dr. Mate.

Though he did make house calls, he (1) missed the fact that my mom had a serious head wound even though he came and examined her in person, (2) my mom had a serious urinary tract infection which he never treated and which became a problem, (3) my father was ill with an infection and he saw no need for any urgency to see him in the rehab facility and in fact his only suggestion was to wait several days to order tests - my dad died of that infection that day, (4) he referred my parents for physical therapy and to therapists who aren't par with their insurance and (5) he never returned any pages for urgent issues pertaining to their health. His secretary was not the friendliest person and always gave the impression that everything was a bother except for the time when our payment was late (they didn't bill the correct insurance) and then suddenly they couldn't wait to speak to me. My parents went to him because he was accessible and yes he was but when you are elderly and sick and need a physician what you need in return is a good clinician who can help you and Dr. Chatterjee is certainly not that physician.
