I had to park on the street at a metered spot. 25 cents for 15 minutes. Luckily I always have quarters! The building is old and run down. It's poorly lit in the basement area. I was impressed by the three floors. It was a large store. There were a lot of spooky porcelain dolls in the 5.99 cent category- if that's your thing. There was some furniture, Christmas decorations, toys but it was mostly clothes. The clothes I saw were in very rough condition, worn, pilling, some stained. I would go back maybe but not for a while. I know these stores are hit n miss. I thought the one thing I saw was cool, 1966 Kreskin game. I did not purchase it but the price was great at 2.99.

The lady who answered the phone was polite and I was expecting a lot more based on the favorable reviews. I found the items to be quite overpriced. I disliked how the prices on many items were written on with a magic marker too. Who wants to deal with that as a buyer? I was interested in home decor and found nothing. There were some interesting items but I chalk it up to a waste of time. I doubt I'll go back- I would prefer to trek down to Good Will else-wear. The Good Will stores are much cleaner and brighter. The interior was dark and dingy. I wasn't impressed with what I saw. I attribute that possibly to the area. Hazleton Good Will doesn't offer much either.

I waited a few minutes outside because I wasn't sure if they were really open and I waited back until I saw a brave soul go to approach the door and it opened. That was my cue to make it through the door. I made my way back to the furniture section to look over items and then right over to the electronics. There wasn't much to see here. You would have thought with the amount of vehicles in the parking lot meant that there were rare antiques in the store. The store itself isn't all that big. It is definitely on the smaller side.

Keep up the terrific bundle of book bargains. Households arranged by color is outstanding for seeking out, for example, al lime green dessert plate or orange wicker blaslet. First time here after hearing good things from a friend, so expectations were cautiously optimistic…read moreand overall, this place delivered... with a few caveats. Let's start with the good stuff. This store is absolutely massive. And the carts? Chef's kiss. Smooth, solid, high-quality carts that roll like butter. Think Target carts, not the janky, squeaky chaos you usually get at thrift stores. I appreciated that more than I expected to. Prices were mostly average. Not amazing, not outrageous. Vans were around $14.99, which isn't great but also not the worst I've seen lately. Home goods weren't huge, but the section was decent and worth a look. I didn't find any jaw-dropping designer labels, but I did find some solid pieces for myself, so it wasn't a wasted trip. Bonus points because they were running orange tags at 75% off, which definitely helped soften the pricing sting. Would I come back? Yes, if I'm already in the area. Would I make a 45-minute drive just for this store again? Probably not. Overall, CommunityAid Temple is clean, well-organized, easy to shop, and way less stressful than a lot of thrift stores. Not a holy grail, but a solid stop that's worth checking out especially during tag sales.
