I knew that I wanted a full time, local agent when I called the closest Springfield RE/MAX office to find a Realtor. They introduced me to Karrina Brown. I can report that Karrina has worked hard on my listing, and exceeded my expectations. First, we were able to set up a meeting the next day. Karrina came to my house and we discussed the local market, and things which I could do to get my home ready to show well on the market. We used both the contractors I have worked with over the past many years in the property management business and some contrators which she introduced me to in order to get the property ready to show. She was able to help meet some of the contractors for me when I could not make it to the property. Karrina answered many of my questions about the tax consequences of selling an investment property, and provided useful information about real estate. When it was time to go on the market, Karrina brought over some decorator items to put in the property which made the property more inviting. The photos which she ordered for the home were super. While the home was on the market, Karrina would monitor the property, and provide the feedback to me. Karrina brought extra marketing materials to my home so that buyers would understand that it was located in a super area, great for young families. She held several open houses at the property. And all 3 of the offers which were written on the home, came from buyers to whom she had shown the property to at an open house. When the home inspections of my older property did find some items to be addressed, Karrina assisted me in getting the items taken care of. She was able to mitigate some of the buyers' fears raised by these inspectors by obtaining expert information from better qualified contractors. Unfortunately, the buyers were not able to get their financing ready in time for the scheduled closing date. By then, I was obligated to buy another property. Karrina was able to get the buyer's loan regional manager involved in order to try to get the loan closed more quickly, even though this involved weekend and late night texts and emails. She worked with my buyer's agent of my next property to keep everyone informed of the deadlines. I feel that Karrina kept my best interests at heart, even if I wanted to rent my property. She is honest, and hardworking, and she put her time and energy into helping me to sell my property. This has been a very difficult time in my life due to a death in my family and 3 real estate transactions.
