After washing our hands FIRST (don't want to smudge the ceramics ) we spent time looking at all the fun ceramics to choose for painting. There are various sizes, shapes and specimens to choose from with a variety of paints, brushes and tools to use as your creative mind chooses. I will be specific and say, take your time! There is no rushing here and you are encouraged to be as creative as possible. The staff is so friendly and helpful; so don't be afraid to ask for assistance! This last time my humans made a spider, an alien and a narwal, and a dog treat jar!! I helped with that one!!! The staff is very helpful and even gave some tips on how to write my name on the jar. They checked on us often and got us everything we needed. One of my humans is not good in art but loves this experience and actually has made some cool things. There was also some kind of event there and everyone in the birthday party had so much fun. A great way to spend a few to several hours making cool things and gifts!! They were so amazing they supplied a lot and even did the most perfect decorations. They really went above and beyond. Everyone was ranting about how great they did at craftland. The owners are super sweet and you can tell they truly cared and wanted my daughter to have the best party as well! We weren't just customers to them, they treated us all like family. During our class, we made a spinach salad, lobster mash, asparagus, and filet minion it was all delicious. We learned new cooking techniques which I am excited to use at home. The atmosphere was laid back, clean, organized, and welcoming. The people in our class were nice. Ingredients were already organized for us. All we had to do was cut up, season, or mix the ingredients. Chef Alex and Andreas were nice. If at any point I had any questions, Chef Alex would easily clarify any confusions. My husband and I look forward to signing up for more classes. Tip: If you are interested in taking one of Kitchen Social's cooking classes, sign up for the class you want ahead of time. This was my second class. The first class I took was great…read more The chef was very prepared. They ask in advance if there are dietary restrictions. I am a gluten free vegetarian. Chef made sure restrictions were made and I was still able to enjoy the same meal as everyone else. The second class I took last night was awful. The chef was not prepared. I did not get the same meal as everyone else and only received carrots and mushrooms. There was no protein included in this meal and no starch. In addition he kept telling the class he had to do things special for me; so inappropriate. I doubt I can recommend this business to anyone.
