Got this gorgeous indigo, asymmetrical, long jacket that would have cost like five times the price that I paid, if I had purchased it in some of the many boutiques in Santa Fe ( It's just perplexing to be asked over $400 for a simple, nice, cotton shirt). I don't remember the designer's name/brand, but some of the dresses in there were truly a fashion statement; I've never seen that pop-eighties-baroque-like inspired style in any other store before. Most of the places that I visited carry clothing brands that are nice but more into design for senior women, which was a bit disappointing. This is not the case. Fabulous folk-textile jackets as well and the sales lady was really nice. I do think that the website doesn't help much and needs a lot of improvement because it doesn't make any justice to the items they carry.

I first ran across this designer at Djuna in Denver, but they have stopped offering clothing there, so now I shop online or at the Santa Fe store. The clothes are meant to be layered and are easy and glamorous at the same time. The materials are silks and linens. They swish and sway in the breeze and are totally girlie. The style can be recognized by little stitching areas at the bottom of the pants or dress/slip in a slanted line. Everything can be laundered so that makes life much easier. Check them out the next time you are in Santa Fe, if you like unstructured, comfortable clothes. Items can be pricey, but they do have sales a couple of times during the year.

I was a bit shocked by the prices but am now convinced that buying just a few items at this store can create so many combinations with other items in my closet that in actuality this makes the clothes not only well worth the price but reasonable. I walked out with several pieces of the more subtle hues and feel so comfortable and feminine wearing them. The salesperson was extremely helpful and the owners are totally delightful. At my urging, he called back and left a message that he's interested in ordering a pair of cowboy boots. This is 4 days later...no return call. This unbusinesslike behavior can only mean that the owner is much too busy for a new customer and not well-mannered enough to return a cold call and say he's not able to take on new work at this time.
