Upon sitting in the waiting room I noticed the chairs seemed like they were 50 years old, holes in the upholstery. The stains on the carpet were disgusting. It literally looked like it had never been clean. The entire waiting room was filthy and in a state of disarray. The people in the front office were super nice and worked with me to get an appointment the day after I called. I think her name was Christy. A dirty waiting room in a dr's office is unacceptable, who knows what the rest of the place was like, I didn't want to find out. I left after 2 minutes.

Going without my medications for a week would have been devastating to my health. I called Raeford Family Care Center and explained my situation in detail. The front desk staff's understanding of my situation was exemplary. I truly felt treated a human being with legitimate concerns and not simply another person with a problem. Within an hour and and half, I was seen by kind and competent nurses and a Physician's Assistant. I walked out the door with a prescription for refills in hand! Now, this is not a state-of-the-art clinic with high-end furniture and artwork;if that's what's important to you in a clinic, then move on, my friend. This office clearly cares about YOU the patient. I'm transferring to this clinic for both myself and my two young girls. Highly, highly Recommend!

    I've been an established Patient for over 8 years and have always been in good standing as far as…read morebills etc. In January 2024 I lost my job and had to resort to applying for State Health Insurance as I suffer several medical issues. I was contacted by an Office Staff (Not a tenured Staff member), but I'll leave Her name anonymous. Long story short I was contacted by a Staff member to confirm current insurance and the appointment was made. Shortly after my Telehealth appt I switched Providers and contacted the Office to book a second app at which time a tenured Staff member confirmed my current insurance wasn't accepted. I was confused and mentioned my previous appt was with the non-accepted insurance and immediately contacted Cape Fear Valley billing. I was contacted by CH and She explained the Staff member was no longer with the practice (WOW)! My first thought should you be sharing that info? Second thought... How many other people were mis-informed and mayve experienced the same issue. I was told to submit a financial assistance application to help with the bill. After a lengthy back & forth and having to submit 3 different documents I was contacted and told I got approved for a 100% sliding fee, but it will not cover my $263.00 bill, so all the documents I provided were never really going to help the bill I acquired due to the lack of knowledge on the Staffs part. I have since changed my insurance to be able to continue care at this Office without a chance of this becoming an issue in the future, so the sliding fee really doesn't help me. This is terrible and this bill should be written off cause I would never have intentionally made an appointment with an insurance my Provider didn't accept.. Terrible customer in this matter and highly disappointing.
