I've seen the Doctor twice, and both have been positive experiences. First visit we talked about my Primary Care Physicians notes, my health in general, and she shared some things I didn't even know about my condition (that I needed to know!). She recommended two medications and gave me a Lab Order. My takeaway was the fact she actually talked to me about my condition and listened to me talk about my condition and my history. Second visit we discussed my lab results and our plan of attack. My takeaway; I like having a Doc who explain's things to you, and doesn't just 'tell' you things. Years ago I went to a Doctor who eventually retired, but every time I had to see him, always made me feel as if I was a relative. I believe I've found a Doc like that again. read more

I liked Dr. Agersborg the first time I met her, which is no easy feat! I'm picky with my doctors, especially my endocrinologists. I look for them to slip up, to be behind in the literature, to be complacent. She and I have had our conflict moments, but she studied under one of the best and truly deserves her reputation! I give a 4 because each time i have visited her office, she has tried to put me on ace inhibitors, despite the fact that I'm a reproductive aged woman. I don't feel this to be responsible, as ACE inhibitors cause birth defects, and my office blood pressure is usually 110/70 and 100/64 or 65 at home. read more

To avoid any possible legal action, I have decided to remove my earlier review (I was not threatened by anyone - just paranoid). I will just say that I had bad experiences with this doctor and after several months of treatment, I have switched to another one. I never intend to see this doctor again. My first visit with Dr. Agersborg went well. She seemed very knowledgeable and professional. We talked about my condition and she gave me literature to read. The plan was to discuss different components of Diabetes each time I saw her, but that didn't happen. After the first visit, she barely made eye contact with me let alone talk to me. A quick look at the daily blood sugar levels, prescribe more medication, talk into her computer then "see you in 6 weeks". I haven't gone back. read more

I saw this doctor about 4 times in a 8 month period.. The first visit was horrible . She just ranted about random stuff while working on her computer. I was mainly just there to get an rx for insulin and she was available with a shorter waiting time that any other endo in the area. Her time was less that 2 months, all the other endo's in the area have a 4 or 5 month waiting time. Sadly I found out there was a reason for this. She apparently throws patients out of the office. At least that is what she did to me. At the first visit and every successive one, the nurse who works there warned me to just listen to her, let her do what she does, or she will throw you out of the office. I am not a difficult patient, I've never had anything like this happen to me in my life. At the first visit she acted like she hated me. She also had a PCOM student in the room, the doctor is a DO, who sat somewhat behind her, out of the doctors view, she never introduced the student or asked if I was comfortable with her in the room. The nurse was also in the room. The student looked bored and played with her hair the entire time. Second and third visits were marginally improved, but always with the same warning from the nurse about getting thrown out of the office. The next scheduled visit, she was out sick. The nurse calls me to tell me this, and then says that the doctor is only going to yell at me anyway, so I might as well not reschedule the visit, and just return in 3 months. She did say it was my choice, come and get yelled at, or not reschedule the visit. . At the same time I had paperwork to be completed by the doctor to get my insulin. They had informed me prior to this that they do not accept insulin deliveries at the office. The first reason given for this was that they were unable to look at the delivery and check to see who it was for and said they just take everything out of the boxes and use it for free samples. Later after I questioned this, the doctor said it was because they were not there every day. So, is she unaware of what her staff is telling people ? Shipping days can be arranged for when they are there, but I didn't want it to go to them anyway, my primary care doctor was better at receiving deliveries. So then just prior to her throwing me out, someone there sends in my order incorrectly puts their delivery address on the order. She also changes the dose of my insulin without saying anything to me about that. When I asked why the doctor did not mention changing my 3 year dose on insulin, the nurse seemed irritated, and said, "didn't you read your paperwork from your last appointment.", well , no I had not, I have multiple medical conditions and get a lot of paperwork, and I assumed if she wanted to lower my insulin, she would have mentioned it during the office visit, instead of just doing it, and documenting it on paperwork. My blood sugar was running high, and she lowered the insulin. So, I call and speak to the nurse about the wrong address being put on the paperwork and being sent in to the company. I asked, since the paperwork had to be redone, could I get the prior level of insulin, I also said my sugar was high, and that I had eaten 4 crispy cream donuts. I sometimes have a problem controlling my diet. So the nurse says she will speak to the doctor and return my call. She calls back, her voice either all emotional, or angry, not sure, but her voice was off. Says the doctor had been doing this for 14 years, and blah, blah, and that I have been coming for 14 months {not true, 8 months], and I am being thrown out of the office, and to return to my primary care doctor until I can find another endo. Then she abruptly hung up on me. Then when I wrote a bad review of her on one of the doctor ratings sites, she proceeded to respond in an angry, untrue, and very unprofessional manner. And I need to say that I consistently minimized any contact with them. I was not a bad or demanding patient. I'm a nice person with a disease. I was told that she has better patients than me to take care of and that I am taking her precious time away from them. It was just unbelievable. The only positive thing at this practice was the nurse, an RN who was sometimes helpful, and seemed more competent in interacting with patients than the physician. So, I do not recommend her and give her the lowest possible rating. read more

Her office lost my referral and then made me wait almost three hours for me to see her. When I was frustrated, she called me "bitchy." That was the last time I went. Previously, she did not want to include me in the dialogue of my treatment, was patronizing, and simply just dismissive. She wanted to treat me with Actos, which was getting a lot of negative reviews at the time. I tried it for a while, but when it became banned in Europe, stopped. While she lured me in with a good first impression, that quickly dwindled when I went for subsequent visits. Diabetes is a serious illness and people need to have a doctor who really hears them, because things can be different for different people. I see Melissa G. had some positive things to say, but she also points out that Dr. Agersborg tried to put her on drugs that were not appropriate for her. This is a running theme. read more
