The class taken included pet first aid as well. My name is Kara. For as long as I can remember, I have had a fondness for animals and as a result, I have several pets. Right now, I have a horse, two dogs, a cat, a bearded dragon, a guinea pig, rats, a gerbil, chickens, and ducks. I also enjoy horseback riding. According to studies, owning a pet brings a number of health advantages, such as reduced blood pressure, loneliness, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms. This is why we have to make sure that our furry friends are well cared for. However, due to busy schedules, some people can't find the time to take their dogs for a walk. There are also instances when they have to leave their pets at home for days due to work-related travels or much-needed "no-pets-allowed" holidays. This is where I come in. My experience with a variety of animals also allows me to tell when an animal's behavior might portray a medical or training problem.

Established in 2012. I started this pet sitting services business to help pet owners be guilt free when they go on vacation. Knowing that a professional is caring for their pet(s) and their pet(s) are staying home where they feel most comfortable helps vacationers feel less worried and keeps pets happier. I also want to help owners exercise their dogs when they have long work hours or just can't walk their dogs themselves. The business was established in June 2012. I also became a member of the Bedford Business Association in 2014. I am also proud to be a member of the BBB. One of the best things about hiring me is knowing that your animals will receive the best possible care and attention while you are gone. With me in charge, you don't have to be concerned about your pets being around other animals or in an unfamiliar area. Additionally, I am more aware of what is necessary for an animal's health and well-being and what can necessitate a trip to the veterinarian.

Meet the Business Owner: Kara Z.

I offer pet sitting services in Temperance MI and have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. My experience with animals includes working with horses at a riding stable as a trail guide, stable hand, and beginner riding instructor. I also worked at a veterinary clinic as an assistant and receptionist from May 2005 to November 2012. I volunteered at the Toledo Zoo from May 2012-December 2012 as an exhibit guide in Tembo Trail, then in the Education Animal Center taking care of the husbandry of many species of animals. I graduated with Honors from Michigan State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Since then I have been certified as a Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructor in 2009 from Penn Foster. In 2012 I have also been certified in Pet First Aid. I have been a member of the Toledo Kennel Club since March 2011 where I enjoy obedience + agility. I taught beginner agility and assisted in other classes.
