This jam-packed little store in North Adelaide is well-described by its title, 'Designer Recycle…read moreBoutique'. The collection of second-hand dresses, shoes and women's fashion is mostly second-hand designer brands, and a few other brands masquerading as designer. There is a lot of eighties high-fashion moments in here - showy, outrageous prints and puffs. This kinda makes sense in North Adelaide - an old money sorta suburb. Prices are not super cheap but not unreasonable - good sales make it affordable. Yesterday when I stopped by there was a 50% off sale on and a big sale rack out the front. This store is great fun if you - like me - love the stunningly hideous in fashion. Leopard prints, puffed sleeves, pink zebra sweaters and eighties party frocks in lurid shades.

It's the kind of place Shoreditch hipsters would go nuts for: vintage that borders on bad taste, but in the best possible way. Eighties power suits, shoulder pads, bedazzled jumpers, weird 90s prints, Pretty-in-pink party dresses. It's a small shop, but it's organised by size and style so you can navigate the jam-packed racks with ease. The older lady behind the counter is always helpful as well. Prices aren't majorly bargainous, but they often have 50% off everything sales to clear out the old and make space for the new. While I'm generally more of a minimalist, you can find the occasional interesting piece or accessory in here. Definitely worth a look.

There are neat racks boasting floral and vintage style dresses. The dress range are beautiful and so feminine. Some remind me of the styles of Somerset Bay and East India labels I used to wear in my mid teens. The shop is beautifully laid out with bags and satchels from yesteryear. You'll find hand picked bric a brac, homewares and I was drawn to a vintage German tile calendar by Braun. An absolute beauty, a shame it was way out of my budget. Mad Men era or grandpa's era furnitures are aplenty here, decorated in style to give you some idea of decorating at home. It's a lovely place to come and be inspired and if budget permits you, to take home a piece of history home with you. A must visit!

But if they saw the brown leather bag in this store I think they'd agree that it was completely necessary. Are you in desperate need of a Glo Mesh Wallet? Or a hand painted condiment set? Me too! It's all here! This wacky little shop has sweet little treasures you will want to purchase and display in the high traffic areas of your home. They have cool art deco kitchen accessories and funky jewellery, and novelty items like vintage basketballs. I spoke to the lovely proprietor about the racks packed full of dresses and she explained that she hand-picks the dresses, gets them bought in from Japan, and then alters them to make them modern and cool. Which explains why there are dresses in so many weird and wonderful materials. The girly stuff like dresses and bags I found affordable, but the homewares were a little more pricey and might be for more 'motivated' buyers than my limited self. I did buy a leather keyring with a horsy on it from this store, and I like to keep it in my pocket and stroke it every now and then. Bit weird? Definitely. But if you saw it you'd wish you'd got there first.

Just set off Hindley Street, you will find the store down some stairs. Lucky I saw the sign. This set up is a good size, split into two rooms. What is great about this store (wait for it boys...) is that you will find an almost equal amount of mens and womens clothing here. I was actually pretty surprised on the mens clothing selection. So awesome! As for pricing, not too bad actually. These are good quality brands. They do not accept any "fast fashion". So that means, no cotton on, valley girl or supre. Phew! This totally reflects on what you will find here. Winning! The staff here are really lovely as well. Not pushy or intrusive. They welcome you and are happy to answer questions. I love feeling comfortable to browse and not feel pressured into buying. Looking forward to bring my first batch of clothing here to see what it is like to swop or sell. YAYYYYYYY!!!

An absolute gold mine. Everything here is cheap with a capital 'C' and the stock is amazingly good and varied. Last winter, they had a stunning collection of faux fur jackets, absolutely fashionable and just short of a magazine shoot. The leather shoes are plentiful here and at such incredible prices. The shop layout is huge and divided with clothing, bric a brac, bevy of hats and scarves, bling accessories and so much more! For someone who thrives on handbags, I found so many collections here. Some in leather, some canvas and delightful totes. Oh, I could just stare at them for hours! It's definitely worth a trip here, as you'll find many op shops in this area. Meet neighbour Salvos who's just next door, and you'll also find another Salvos branch and Goodwill just down the road in Findon. So know that I've told you about the best op shop in town, you have my permission to visit Hosanna, as long as I'm allowed to tag along! :p

I went to a Salvos the other day looking for a dress up outfit and a disgusting 70's dress was priced at $59.95!! Excuse me?! Did you know you're an OP SHOP??!! I have to say I'm with Kamini here... a little loathe to share it but since I'm so nice I can't help myself! Hosanna Op Shop is one of the best op shops I have ever been to. They are still run by little old ladies who price things as op shop items should be priced. There was a plethora of brown and black school shoes (should you ever need a thousand pairs of them), great vintage items, loads of hats, scarves and bags and some very good near new clothing and homewares stuff. As well as that there's a great selection of preowned books and I have managed to pick up a few gems there :) I'm finding lately that it's better to find those little church run op shops than go to the big chains, as they tend to have the bargains as well as volunteer staff who are always friendly! You won't regret visiting this humble little shop.

The shop sure smells nice for a second hand venue, and it has a lush and comfortable atmosphere…read more They call themselves Adelaide's 'most exclusive recycled boutique' which is a fancy way of saying they have nice second hand stuff, and really they do. Garments that have been pre-owned and pre-loved are often really good and have only been taken out on Sundays by the little old lady who owned it previously; items like the nineteen eighties silver glitter boob tube would have only been worn to church functions and white frocks with red spots at Christmas, that sort of thing. I suspect there is an element of elitism involved in the way the shop smells and feels because the prices are pretty original rather than recycled from the time period the garments were manufactured. Some things, fashionable things particularly become more sought after and increase in cost as the decades pass, so don't expect opportunity shop style bargains, but don't let me put you off either because I'm not so well versed in what a decent frock costs - I wear shirts and pants. Every so often I will don a sarong, but only when it's hot and I'm at home or close to water. Given that many of the stylish frocks I've looked at in recent times have had price tags that suggest someone will pay over six hundred dollars to twelve hundred dollars for something 'special' these days I may eat my words and say this shop is moderately priced. Talk to Maria, Teresa or Lucy - they'll sort you out! All that being said, the quality of what is on display is very good, and I suspect there are some items you would never find anywhere else for a better price, so check it out. If you like wearing pre-loved gear and fancy something at the high end of the fashion scale, this place is gonna make you sing.

With an aesthetic interior, white plushed cushions and chairs, walls framed with black and white pictures of fashion capital cities across the world, stunning chandeliers and beautifully laid clothing and merchandise, this recycled boutique is a dream come true for all fashionistas. For some of us who can't afford to splurge on designer items at retail price, this boutique offers designer and Australian labels at very attractive bargains. From preloved clothing, shoes, handbags, corporate suits to accessories, this is a women's playground. A highly addictive and dangerous on though! The plethora of designer handbags here are amazing. Take your pick from Oroton, Coach, Tod's, Nine West, Gucci, Guess..it's all here. I picked up a pretty pink Nine West handbag for $20 and it was in perfect condition. Cocktail dresses hang sexily on the racks, waiting to be exploited yet loved with a new adventure. Working women would love to sample corporate suits and silk office blouses, from the likes of Zara and Dusk. Trays and cabinets are filled with ladies watches, jewellery and jewelled stone hair ornaments. They are exquisitve and I want to buy them all. At the end of the boutique, neat racks showcase casual wear, summer dresses, jeans and soft summery pants. New To You is a perfect oasis to update your wardrobe, add an accessory or two and most importantly, realise your dream in owning a designer piece which you can show off at the next corporate party.

I'm sure more visits will prove this.
