Great! 2) You have to use your cell phone connected to YouTube to select karaoke songs and there were no electrical outlets in the room. So we had to rotate cellphones based on who had the most battery life left. 3) The furniture has seen better days (leather couch peeling) and the corners of the room were not cleaned well. Of course we brought our own cleaning supplies because that's what we do . Overall we had a great time and I would visit them again.

JooJoo is delicious! I crave this place now…read more I've tried a handful of Korean restaurants and think this is the best Korean food in St. Louis County. I really like that they offer stir-fried octopus (Nakji Bokum) not just stir-fried squid (Ohjinguh Bokum). Their Seafood & Tofu soup (Seafood Sundubu) comes out piping hot and is another favorite. My boyfriend got the "Grilled-at-Table" Brisket (Chaldobaki) option which was fun to use the grill to cook right at our table. Our server was attentive and assisted with the flat-top grill at our table. We shared the large size Japanese lager beer Sapporo. I love that JooJoo includes Banchan, small side dishes, with the meal like kimchi, soybean sprouts, black beans, fish cakes, etc. They're happy to bring you more of something if you take particularly to one side. We could hear a group doing karaoke in a separate room from the dining area but it wasn't disruptive to the dining experience at all. The dining area was very clean and spacious with not all tables having the flat top grill for the barbecue. The only disappointing part was that for food-safety reasons we had to cook the leftover remaining brisket slices if we wanted to take it in a to-go box but we understand! I can't wait to go back! Maybe for karaoke too next time!

I'm Korean and grew up with Korean food in Chicago, so I know what the real thing tastes like, and this is the real thing. I got the soondae stew and it completely hit the spot. The flavor profile was so authentic and satisfying!! Came out boiling still, so fresh. The banchan selection was great too and the waitress was really sweet about bringing more if you wanted. My only small note is that I wished the side dishes came out a little earlier rather than alongside the main food, because I was starving by the time everything arrived! But that's a minor thing. There's also a karaoke spot right next door that I heard gets pretty lively at night. I haven't made it over there yet but that is absolutely next on my list.

Stay away from this place the owner/bartender is extremely rude and the husband just goes along with it. They shouldn't own a karaoke bar if they don't want people to have a good time. Treasure this place, St. Louis, and make sure it stays in business for decades to come. The Crack…read moreFox is an institution and an icon of the authentic St. Louis experience. I lived in St. Louis from 2013 to 2020, and during that time, the Crack Fox almost singlehandedly kept the Downtown bar scene alive. Six years later, I am back in STL for work--just four days, but I had to make sure I checked in here, at a bar I can now safely say is truly special. My current city has no comparable equivalent. Bars like The Crack Fox--that is, neighborhood dive bars that make great cocktails, with actual character and passion--bars that care more about what they do than the money they make doing it... these bars are rare. They're rarer than I thought they'd be back in 2020. You've got something special here, St. Louis. Take care of it.

We arrived a little after 11 and found a space in the back parking lot. The lot is convenient as it's pretty well-lit and is diagonal from the CF. We entered through the back where the deck is and walked right in. Upon first glance, you'll notice the hanging lights above the entrance and then after a few feet, the bar is immediately to the right. The tables are all along the left side as to make a walkway for the bar (super convenient). Due it being their anniversary, it was a bit crowded but not too bad where you couldn't get a drink or walk through. My usual go-to is a flavored vodka (three olives grape) and sprite. While they had a plethora of spirits, sadly this wasn't one of them. They had other flavored vodkas but I opted to get a simple Cosmo while my friend got a makers and coke. The Cosmo was just what I needed and might I add, well made! After we got our drinks, we did a quick walk through of the other side called The Oddities (coming soon), as well as the upstairs that overlooks the entire place. The stairs are steep, so it would behoove you to hold on to the railing. While I love trying new places, I was a bit apprehensive because I thought I'd stick out like a sore thumb. Turns out, everyone was friendly, the drinks are great, and the music wasn't bad! They had different acts going on for this particular evening (I'm not sure if this is the norm), but I know my friend is a regular on Tuesday's for karaoke. I do intend to come back and try out some more drinks and food and check out the other place once it officially opens.

We had a good time playing pool and there was a male bartender making our first drinks that was very friendly and conversational. The female bartender made our second round of drinks and was more standoffish as if we didn't fit the "dive bar scene" since we were dressed up a bit. We enjoyed a couple rounds of pool and watching the World Cup game then we left before karaoke was about to start. Bar itself has plenty of seating and nice lighting for the bottles. After learning the story about the owner and the bar, I'm very happy this place is still open but I don't think we'll be back.

It was very loud when we visited, not because of the karaoke, so it was a bit difficult to speak with the bartenders. I guess people were having a good time! There are lots of drink choices at reasonable prices. There is also food, which I didn't try. For the karaoke, you go up to the KJ get into the queue, and then add your songs across the evening for each of your turns. There was quite a variety being sung. You sing in front of the fireplace. There is a little bit of room to dance around the edges but not much. Despite being a "nonsmoking" bar, there were patrons vaping indoors and there was a cigarette smell inside (perhaps wafting in from the smokers outside?). The ladies bathroom was very clean. There is free parking outside in their attached lot, but you might have to get creative if you get there later in the night, as the lot gets crowded. This bar has a fun vibe for your friend group to go blow off some steam, but probably not a good place to take a first date.
