I want to express my extreme disappointment in the care I received with Dr. Singh at my appointment yesterday. (1/8/26) My appointment was scheduled for 10:45 am and I wasn't called back to the exam room until after 12:00 noon. A nurse asked for a urine sample, checked my bladder, asked a few questions and took my blood pressure. She was surprised at how high it was (198/? I didn't see) but said she'd come back and take it again. Dr. Singh arrived by 12:15 and could only mutter a simple, insincere apology for making me wait. He went on to explain how he'd done a lithrotripsy in December and had taken care of a stone that was in the ureter. Although I strained my urine for several weeks after the surgery, I saw no visible signs of gravel or sediment, but figured all was ok. On January 2, I had a KUB xray taken that revealed the stones were still in the kidney (which I knew hadn't been the intent to break down), but the report said there was a new 10mm stone. Dr. Singh showed me all of this on the X-rays, but to a laymen's eye , it all just looked like a blurry mess. When I asked the Dr to explain things better, I felt as though I was taking too much of his time and he wanted to move on with next steps which included further surgery. I was given a card for the surgery coordinator and sent on my way. I was out of the office by 12:30. At no time did Dr. Singh or the nurse ask to recheck my blood pressure. I feel like I was just a number in an overly packed office. Not once did I hear the front office staff explain why the waiting time was so long. Had I known when I checked in the wait was going to be 90 min I would've rescheduled. With a 10:45 appointment, how is it possible to be that far behind? If there had been an earlier emergency, couldn't the office staff notify upcoming patients they'd be waiting beyond a reasonable amount of time and give people a chance to reschedule? My time with Dr. Singh felt rushed and unproductive. I left feeling my issues with kidney stones was insignificant to him and I was just another number. I must at least compliment his recording assistant as he did go out of his way to wish me a good rest of my day. I doubt there's anything that can be done by whoever's reading this, but thank you for taking the time. read more

Dr. Singh and staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. My only complaint would be the wait time I experienced. My appointment was for 1620 and didn't get into a room for well over half an hour. After being taken to a room it was another half an hour before seeing the doctor. read more

HORRIBLE! Warning you RUNNN!!!! This is the rudest doctor and to say he was rough with my husband is an understatement. want to ask a question? Not allowed! He will shame you and talk down to you. We were truly SHOCKED! When he left the exam room we looked at his nurse in disbelief and she instantly apologized. Dr. Singh was ok. Mostly he answered my questions and only slipped into an "annoyed God complex attitude" once. The nurses and staff were fantastic - very kind and capable. I did have a very painful catheterization which resulted in cramps and later symptoms of a UTI. Then... it's been a week and I have been completely unable to contact them - by phone (what a bad phone system!!), by patient portal, by text - nothing. Dr Singh performed a lithotripsy procedure on me. He was able to blast the stone and it passed in 14 days. I had no discomfort at all. Dr Singh explained the procedure in detail and answered all my questions. He took his time to make sure I was well taken care of. I had a really disappointing experience with Dr. Singh. From the moment I sat down, he was condescending, dismissive, and acted like he was doing me a favor just by being in the room. He hadn't even contacted the doctor who referred me--despite the imaging and context coming directly from them. Instead, he criticized the PA who sent me, sarcastically pointing out that "he's not a doctor," as if that made the referral meaningless. When I asked what was wrong with the PA, he backpedaled with "Oh, nothing," pretending like he hadn't just mocked the guy. The entire visit felt like I was being talked down to, not helped. I've dealt with professionals my whole life--this wasn't professional. Bottom line: I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone looking for respectful, collaborative care. read more

It is quite remarkable how going to see a doctor for relief can actually make your pain worse. Not just slightly worse - worse to the extent that I couldn't sleep at night and needed prescription-strength pain medication. Dr. Singh squeezed my testicle so hard that I now have pain on the left side, where I previously didn't. And all this after waiting over an hour past my appointment time to see him... On top of that, a 2nd and 3rd opinion didn't agree with his diagnosis. He hasn't even bothered to look at the ultrasound images I sent him. His office assistant is rude, made an error on scheduling my procedure which I already had to wait 4 weeks for, it's near impossible to get through on the phone, and had over an hour wait to see the Dr when I had an appointment. I was experiencing a troublesome BPH issue, just like many men my age. The whole process took about 45 gnarly days to resolve but Dr. Singh and his staff got me through it. I was in their office at least once and a few times twice per week so I got to know them fairly well. The journey ended with a "green laser" procedure which was far less threatening to me than any of the other alternatives. I never had a problem getting to see Dr. Singh. Dr Singh and his staff were all extremely professional and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Singh and his staff for your urology issues. Lastly, I learned from sitting in my share of urology and cardiology offices the volume of patients is close to overwhelming their resources. I committed to be more patient and understanding with caretakers/doctors. The result was a better experience for me. read more

I had to see Dr. Singh on an emergency. His office got me in on a Friday afternoon (of a long weekend!) and saved me a trip to the ER. This eventually lead to surgery, and many follow up appointments. I had many interactions with his office staff, his nurses, and Dr.Singh. Every. Single. One! Was professsional, helpful and generally​ made my life easier. His office is busy, but they get you in and out quickly. I needed to make a change to an appointment time, and it was easily done by text. Post Surgery, his office followed up and were kind and helpful. I had the absolute worst experience with this office and Doctor! I waited over an hour to get in a room, then I was placed in the room and was told by the nurse (unapologetically) that it was going to be another 20 minutes before the doctor came in! While in the waiting room, the front office staff was discussing (rather loudly) with patients their medical history. They had a very loud discussion in detail with one poor gentleman about his blocked catheter. No one in the waiting room needed to hear that and it should have been discussed behind closed doors! I was embarrassed for him. When others in the waiting room were frustrated with the wait time, they were dismissed saying it was "procedure day" hence the wait. Why is that the patients problem. Seems to be they have a scheduling problem! Once the Dr. arrived - now 1.5 hours past the appointment time - he was short, rude, and condescending. He also didn't apologize for his tardiness and proceeded to spend a whole SIX minutes with me to discuss my case! I would NEVER refer anyone to this doctor/office again. read more

Thanks to Dr. Singh's expert surgical skills, his follow up treatment plan, and careful regular vigilance, Dr. Singh has kept my husband cancer-free ever since his surgery for bladder cancer 2.5 years ago. We are thankful that our Primary Care Physician makes extremely prudent choices with his referrals to Specialists. The doctor is through but the billing department is the worst. It took 4 phone calls to make my co-charge payment. The billing department has strange hours and it doesn't matter what time you call, it will take more than 24 hours for them to call you back. I had a 10 second zoom call because my lab results weren't in. The billing department will still charge you the entire amount. You can't call the lab in advance to find out of the results have been sent to the doctor. I wrote 3 physical letters to the billing department and not a single response. Of course they took the payment information from these same mailings. I would suggest you find another urologist read more

I was very apprehensive an concerned about 2 possible 3 kidney stones 9mm-6mm-4mm -that were shown in x rays. I was very uncomfortable and discussed treatment with Dr. Singh. We decided I could have the Lithotripsy SWL ... Which i was comfortable with. He explained -the pre-surgery RN explained what was going to happen - the X ray in the surgery room found the stones - next thing i woke up - went home - rested 2 days and about 6 days later pee out several kidney stone fragments for 2 days. Never took a pain pill. and follow up x ray no sign of kidney stones. I am relieved and all my apprehensions gone.... thank you Dr Singh and his Staff for pre- surgery instructions and after follow up.... I've been seeing Karan J. Singh, M.D since 2015 for urgency incontinence. He has given me pills and an exam to no avail. The problem has become worse and has affected my life. On my last visit with Dr. Singh, he advised me that there was nothing he could do for me. I was devastated and couldn't believe he said that. Not given up, I went to a different urology office. I went to the office of Dr. Brian Norouzi in Orange. On the very first visit, He found my problem and gave me four options. Thanks again Dr Singh; my TURP procedure was 1 year ago August 2019! I again ,as I have during my follow up visit , the results have been way above my expectations; I feel that I am in my twenties again; better than normal! Strong stream every time; emptying my bladder each time! I have been able to control my time necessary between the erg to urinate; no overactive bladder symptoms! Very little or no leakage! My visit with Dr. Singh was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor. He greeted me by saying, I don't know why you're here, I don't treat anyone with your symptoms. However, his staff said he was the leading expert. He then proceeded to give me a cursory exam and tell me that he couldn't believe I would waste his time when I had no symptoms or underlying issues. I saw another urologist and it turns out that I need 2 surgeries to correct the problems I'm having. I would seek out another doctor less you and your symptoms are equally dismissed. I saw Dr Singh a few weeks ago; seemed like a nice doctor and had pretty good bedside manner. Bedside manners go along way for me, and I won't stand for doctor with bad attitudes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only major complaint was the bathroom was DISGUSTING! I had to leave a urine sample before our apt, and there was an old seat cover and urine still in the toilet from the last patient. Lots of urine droplets behind the seat which was cringy! The chuck pad that had the urine supplies had spilled urine from previous samples and the drop box urine sample collector looks like it hasn't been changed in months; and also had urine droplets all over it. It's not hard to keep a bathroom clean and change these simple things. If they could change these things I would give them a full rating, but I can't over look that! A big thank you to Dr. Singh who has been treating me for 1 year. My reason initially for seeing him was because I was unable to pee. Total blockage. After treating me for prostatitis he attempted to cure my problem via the Uro-Lift procedure. Unfortunately, my prostate was just too large. Dr. Singh then went over the treatments he would recommend and he was partial to TURP, given the size of my prostate. I am so thankful to him for such a successful outcome! It has been 18 days since surgery and I couldn't be happier. In fact, immediately after the catheter was removed I was a new person without any discomfort, pain or strong urgency. All was flowing perfectly. I was a little hesitant to have procedure after reading much about it on the internet. Suggestion: Don't believe everything you read.
