Karachi Chatkhara is a newer Pakistani Restaurant that been open about 4 months in this area. It's right on Golf Road in a strip mall and very easy to get to with plenty of parking and no hassles like on Devon! It's a nice family run establishment with the food being halal freshly made daily and offering a huge variety of authentic Pakistani cuisine. Qiswa, her mom, dad and brother provide a nice clean peaceful dining experience. They even have a separate private prayer area too. We tried the Chicken Karahi and the Tandoori Chicken. Both were excellent! The Karahi was seasoned perfectly, not overly spiced, served hot with really fluffy naans. The tandoori chicken was boneless and burst with fresh flavors served with a very unique tasty homemade chutney. I like that the chicken had a nice char taste and was still moist and in bite size pieces. We ended our meal with piping hot chai and in-house made rubri kheer which was excellent. It wasn't overly sweet and had a very nice smooth and creamy texture. The food was so good that we ordered a carryout of puri halwa to have in the morning. The puri halwa was nicely packed and I like they put the chaana (garbanzo beans) and aloo bhujia (potato) separate as each has its own unique taste perfectly made! Karachi Chatkhara is a really nice place to have party events too as they also offer a separate banquet room and do catering. This is a perfect place to have a delicious tasty Pakistani meal in the Northwest suburbs and not have to drive all the way to Devon! Thank you Qiswa for making our dining experience memorable and delicious!

Located in a strip mall, there is ample free parking. Staff is unassuming, professional and helpful, willing to help with any menu questions. We came for lunch to celebrate a birthday and it was an excellent choice. The menu has a lot of clean eating options, including vegetarian and keto. We opted to share a lamb pizza, a tomato and cucumber salad and a meat tray. All were excellent, plenty of food. The pita was excellent. The tea at the end was lovely. Prices reasonable, good food good portions. Absolutely worth checking out and adding into the rotation of where to go.

Upon my first visit on a Thursday for lunch, the waitress Nur provided excellent service to our table. She was patient, pleasant, and provided answers to our many questions. Just loved her service with a smile and uplifting energy. My friends and I ate hard and everyone enjoyed their food. I tried the lentil soup which was wonderful and I had the mushroom guvec with rice on the side that was delicious. We were served tea as an after dinner refresher which was nice. We noticed the bakery on the way out and they had so many treats ready to be ordered and taken home. The second visit was terrible. I came for lunch on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy. The lahmacon is offered as a lunch special and I asked if I could have the cheesemacon for the special. It's the same version with just cheese and no meat. My waiter Jamal straight told me no. I found that very odd so I inquired further because they are the same price on the menu and it's without meat. The answer still didn't change. I simply had a few more questions about other menu items and Jamal seemed agitated by then. He was not even trying to be nice. I ordered two entrees. I paid full price for the cheesemacon and had a pide with kashkaval cheese. Jamal brought my food and NEVER came back to my table. I watched him provide service to all the other tables during that time. I was fine and didn't need anything, but I didn't deserve to be treated that way for being pleasantly inquisitive. I really felt bothered by this because out of all my years of eating out, I never felt that a server treat me poorly personally for being myself. I've had bad service before just because the service is bad overall and that is different. I like the food so I reluctantly returned for a third time and had breakfast. Service was standard and the food was good. My mushroom omelette was fine. The traditional french toast was solid. This review should be one star but it is four without Jamal.

We had boorsok for our appetizer, fried dough bites that reminded me of funnel cake without sugar, and there were a lot! I had the strawberry mojito drink, and it was fantastic, really tasting of fresh fruit with many mint leaves inside. The khachapuri was extraordinary. They do imeruli style, round and similar to a pizza, the crust beautifully blistered and the cheese thick with a wonderful pull. One of my friends hadn't had khachapuri before and is now a convert. We also had boso lagman, with hand-pulled noodles and beef, and big manty dumplings with flavorful meatballs inside. I requested we get a slice of honey cake, too, and that was a perfect finish to the meal. Sweet but not overkill, and really tasted like honey, graham crackers, and cream. I'm not sure when I will possibly be in this area again, but wow, I would come here again.

The decor offered great ambiance! In order to try a couple of items my sister and I decided to split the laghman and eggplant salad. The laghman was excellent with fresh hand-pulled noodles. I appreciated that they split the dish in the kitchen for us. The eggplant salad was a good portion to supplement the noodles. But points of caution that they are fried and have an almost sweet and sour sauce on top which for me was a little heavy. Overall quick and efficient service for a sit down lunch during the work week. They also appeared to have an extensive drink menu of different lemonade and coffee that I would be interested to try next time.

I was a quite disappointed because we went on Saturday at 6:30pm and they were completely out of all pide, ezme, haydari, and the pickles so the menu was pretty limited. We ended up ordering fries as an appetizer since that's all they had. The entrees also said they come with bulgar and rice but we did not have any bulgar on our dish..it also said we should have roasted peppers and onions, which were not on our dish either. I assume they were out of all of those? We really wanted hummus but it was not on the menu. When we finished our meal, we noticed the table behind us had hummus... it would have been nice to know they had hummus. Also, we really wanted to try the manti but did not see it on the menu. At the end of the meal, my husband wanted a coffee and the waitress said there was no coffee and the machine was broke. Service was ok. Waitress forgot our drink. Not very attentive. Dining area is small but cute. They are planning to expand the dining area so there really isn't much of a market anymore. Prices are pretty high in comparison to most Turkish/middle eastern restaurants. They do give you yummy bread and Babaganoush. I want to try it again in hopes that other menu items are available.

The vibe inside is lowkey but elegant, great for a quiet night out or a new food experience with friends or family. The menu reflects a wide variety of authentic dishes -- some comforting, others bold and new depending on your palate. Pelmeni (dumplings): Very strong in flavor, not what I'm typically used to. The texture might take some getting used to -- I wasn't the biggest fan, but my friend loved it. Plov: So flavorful and hearty -- slightly on the greasy side but still really satisfying. Manty: If you're into juicy, steamed dumplings, this is the move. The spices are deep and warming. Honey Cake: Hands down one of my favorites. Soft, lightly sweet, and melts in your mouth -- definitely a must-try. I thought that was a bit crazy for two wraps so I just decided to drive to the restaurant myself. Got two Dubai style chicken Shawarma wraps and asked for sauce when I picked up the order. He gave me some sport peppers and some garlic sauce. I asked for hot sauce and he said there would be an extra charge for it. When I looked at the container it was a small container of some kind of hot sauce. I decided to skip as I already paid for my order. The amount of meat is generous, but the flavor is very very mediocre. It just tasted like a wrap filled with warm lettuce, warm tomatoes, warm garlic sauce, surrounded in bland chicken inside a tortilla that was buttered with sesame seeds on top and then toasted. The tortillas were all hanging on the edge of the lid that all of their condiments are stored in. It was really bizarre. Would be nice if the meat had some flavor or at the very least they offered sauces without an additional charge. Total was $29 Will not be returning.
