Whenever I am asked who I see as my gyno and mention Dr. Helen Lacoste I get the same reaction. Oh, I know Dr. Lacoste she is known very well, and I have met her personally and have worked with her personally in some capacity whether for referral or at some sort of conjoined effort for certain needs that I've had over the years and the single thing that people always mention is that she is an incredibly knowledgeable and continually one of the Most respected doctors in her field and among others in the state of Michigan, that they know I've always said she also has an incredible bedside manner unlike any doctor I've ever met before my entire life, and if someone with an extreme phobia and white coach syndrome, this quality is a true gift and effort on her part and part of who she is I have never met someone with such care and dedication to ensuring I am taking care of myself and the best way possible but also she's getting to know me as a person so that I feel comfortable with her and she is very diligent about follow up making sure things are as easy for me as possible as I've gone through surgery with her among other things and I have a couple friends who by chance have also had her to further baby and she was wonderful with both of my friends that had unexpected changes and had to see someone right away and ended up with Dr. Lacoste by chance their experiences were second and none. I consistently tell Dr. Lacoste that every appointment I see her at that she is not allowed to ever retire because I will need her the type of quality care the experience and attention to my medical needs and health for the future are always half of mine for her. She never forgets anything and ensures that I have things in advance that I'll need example a breast cancer screening and mammogram order. Has me an MRI order for when I have to make my appointment so that I don't have to call back and make them even though it's a month in advance or so, she makes everything as easy as possible. She is incredibly kind and will spend as much time as she needs with you when it appointment to explain things and make sure you feel comfortable and understand what's going on. I could not recommend someone more and although she is a very popular demand person, I strongly urge you to make an appointment with her and you will thank yourself. He delivered me twenty-some years ago, and became my adult doctor when I turned sixteen. I know from my parents' experience that he's well-equipped, calm, and professional in the delivery room, and I know from my experience that he's comforting for all the rest. It raises up, tilts back into a sort of table and the seat drops out. Then there you are in perfect position. No more of the scoot to the end of table nonsense here at this practice. She is also very personable, comforting and knowledeable. Quick to smile, shakes your hand and makes certain all your questions are answered. Even the ones you did'nt know to ask. Appointments are timely. Staff is efficient and accomodating.

First of all, she is an incredibly knowledgeable doctor. She is up-to-date on the most current recommendations and practices, and never had trouble answering any of my questions. Also, she has a wonderful bedside manner. She is very friendly and very professional. She always comes in, shakes your hand and smiles at you. She sits down and asks how you're doing and then, more importantly, LISTENS to your answer. She never seems to be in a rush to get out of the room, and yet somehow manages to run on time most days. She never makes you feel stupid for asking any question (and you have a lot when you're pregnant!). I delivered my first child with her, and it was a wonderful experience. My husband (who has a general dislike for most doctors) couldn't say enough about her and how great she was. I delivered my second baby with one of the other doctors in the practice, and he was good too. But I wish she'd been on call for that delivery because I preferred her. Her staff is fantastic. The nurses are so sweet and friendly and put you at ease immediately. The receptionists are also great. I actually found myself missing them when I had my baby and didn't have to go in monthly (weekly at the end) for check-ups. I joked with them that I missed them so much that I got pregnant again quickly so I could see them more often. I would (and have) recommend Dr. Crooks to many of my friends and family. I am so glad I found a good OB/GYN at last!
