Having said…read morethat, though, I will absolutely use Kash again for any future CEUs I might need and I would HIGHLY recommend them. I will only speak for myself with this review and what I saw. I also think it would be helpful to touch on what I know now, compared to at the beginning of my courses, when I didn't really know what I was getting in to. I started with the CNA course offerred in Sept/Oct and also took the weekend Nov HHA course. Both had an online lecture portion and in-person Clinicals. I think it goes without saying that I was with Kash for a while and in a variety of experiences, so I think I can speak to alot of different aspects. And I will also say that I JUST completed my CNA Skills Exam yesterday and passed on the first try. Lecture: Yes, the lecture Instructor, Mr. Steven Moe, goes off on tangents during class, but he's such a sweet man. He really is there because he wants us to do well. But there are expectations with anything... showing up to class on time, no talking out of line, or students yelling. Yes, that did happen a few times on our Zooms and it was awkward. Generally speaking, if you go in with an understanding that you'll just have to jump through some hoops, then you'll be fine. You get what you want out of any experience and just find the nuggets that are medically relevant and move on. Clinicals: I had both Ms. Linda Williams (for CNA) and Ms. Mavis Stovall (for HHA) and they were both excellent Instructors. If you are willing to put in the work and be a team player, you'll do just fine. I did overhear some students complain that what we are doing is 'slave labor,' because we're working for free, but giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe they just haven't had experience in the medical field. As a med student, a student nurse, training to be a CNA, or HHA, anything, you name it... you HAVE to put in hours in a Clinical setting and you're not going to get paid to do that. How else will you learn? Just jump through this hoop. You CHOOSE to be there, so just make the most of it. Every minute you're there, you're learning something new that could potentially help a future patient and THAT is the most important. WHAT I WOULD'VE DONE DIFFERENTLY, NOW THAT I'M THROUGH THE COURSE (the CNA course specifically): Credentia website: Credentia.com is the website that you will schedule your Skills exam, once you have completed the course. And it also contains the resources and step by step instructions for all 22 skills that each State tests on. We were told to not go on to Credentia to look at anything related to the Skills during the Lecture portion of class. I wish I didn't listen. You can go on and create an account to get a look at the Handbook anytime. We generally discuss the skills in Lecture in the book, but, again, it's not specific to California. I could have been waaaay more efficient in my studying, had I just gone on to Credentia and looked at California's Handbook right off the bat. But playing devil's advocate, I can see why Mr. Moe would say to not look at the Handbook, because one might get overwhelmed. I have taken college level coursework for years, so I have had the time as a student to know what works for me. I'm sure some folks taking this course might not have been a student for long and might get overwhelmed if they look at the Handbook too early. But if you feel like you know yourself well enough, know what works for you and you study well and efficiently, you might benefit from this tidbit. Hartman videos you will be watching: Don't get me wrong, these videos are invaluable, because we were online and we didn't have each other, or mannequins to practice on. But, this goes back to knowing that there are State specific Skills... the Hartman videos are not specific to California and I would've liked to have known that earlier on. MOST of what the videos touch on is correct for California, but I'm weird... I would've wanted to know the specific details of what California wanted to see alot sooner than we did. Hence... why I discussed the Credentia Handbook above. Practicing the Skills themselves: You will NOT be able to practice the Skills correctly while at your Clinicals. There is simply no time for that. The CNA employee has enough to do. Get what practice in where/when you can. Just understand that you will HAVE to study outside of class, at home. Treat it like ANY other class you would take... you sit through lecture and then study at home. There seemed to be alot of unnecessary pain caused in some students, where they expected that all Skills practice would happen on the job. I just wish we had access to a mannequin, somehow, but that's just not an option and I had to be ok with that. Overall, just go with the flow. Be on time and just rise to any expectations. If you resist/complain, this experience could be pretty challenging. I hope this helps! Good luck all!!

The administration and faculty has been experiencing lots of change over the years but I've always felt well supported. The cadaver anatomy lab room is well equipped and staffed and I am very excited about it. There's also a simulation lab that contains lots of mannequins for CPR, ultrasound, airway management practice. The school also has dedicated OSCE rooms for clinical simulations with school-sponsored standardized patients. Overall, pretty happy about my experience here. We have a new Dean who is working hard to make sure that my classmates and I can make it through med school and achieve our dreams. I look forward to this school getting accredited soon!

Two weeks before the fall semester started, I get an email from an Indian professor about BIOL430. I'm like in my Connor McGregor's voice, "Who tf is this??" I immediately log into eServices to find out who this guy is. There was a last-minute change on the professor I had picked ahead of time WITHOUT any notification(s) to myself or the students. So, I immediately go online and CANNOT find anything about this "new" professor. I searched online and there were no leads. First day of class, I go in as hopeful as any other student to find out what this professor is all about. The Dean for the Natomas Center walks in, introduced herself, welcomed us, and wished us a happy Fall Semester. That was great on her part!! After she left, our professor immediately jumps into the lecture. Did not give his name or an intro. One student asked the professor why he didn't go over the syllabus or tell us his name and the expectations of the class. His response, "You guys received an email before the class started." He received immediate backlash. The same student then asked the professor if this was his first time teaching. His reply, "Yes." A few students got up and left, one-by-one.... His lecture was all over the place and students sat frustrated, as there was a language barrier, and he wasn't clear on the anatomy parts when describing them. He flashed through each PowerPoint he created super-fast. Students were telling him to slow down. A few more students get up and leave... I did not speak nor say anything the whole class and was second guessing my decision. I sat there and gave this guy an opportunity to prove himself. I pride myself on the accomplishments I have made and how dedicated I am to connect with professors who care and will take the time to really put a lot of effort into me for me to get an A at the end of every semester. I felt as though, this professor, being that it was his first time teaching, would not be the professor for me. The way he started scared me, and other students, to let a semester go by to once again, join the process of searching for another professor for the Spring of 2025. And in case you're asking why I didn't just search another professor on eServices, it's because they're all filled. No professor was available. SHAME!!! Shame on the school for allowing professors to do this at the last minute. There should be a process before the semester starts, where professors need to apply for the next semester. They SHOULD NOT be able to drop the class after students do their research on the professor and have them locked in. When students start to enroll, professors cannot backout of a class. Now I have to go through a whole semester of waiting to find another great professor. Thanks ARC!!! You have failed. 1/3 of the class walked out and I'm pretty sure more dropped the class. it worked for me. while working as a analyst for sacramento county i went to lincoln. very good…read moreprofessors who were also working as lawyers and even a superior court judge. interestingly, a lot of the students also had full time jobs but wanted to improve their work opportunities. we even had a student who was a professor at the state college in modesto. he would drive to sacramento three nights a week for class. and the students i knew went on to successful law careers, including me. we had students who became district attorneys, public defenders and even judges. i think lincoln is well respected in the sacramento legal community. lincoln is a very good school and worth attending.

The professors I've had thus far are mostly Deputy DA's for Sacramento, they are knowledgeable and willing to give a little extra to ensure that you understand the concepts. Some of my attorney friends who attended McGeorge stated that the professors were mostly condescending and have a holier than thou mentality, which I think is their attempt to move towards becoming a top tier law school. Lincoln on the other hand only offers a night program and most of the students also have full time careers, so they are very mindful of the needs and commitments of their student population. The administration staff is OK. As far as the facilities are concerned, it is serviceable and I think that anything more fancy or grandiose would be a waste as it would undoubtedly affect the tuition prices...
