And all without the pretentiousness that often comes with shops like this. Pricing was fair (as in, reasonable) for original articles and artwork. I wasn't thrilled with the additional charge for using a credit card (on top of the 7% tax) that I didn't realize was part of the transaction until I reviewed my receipt later - but by no means a deal-breaker. The owner's husband was "on-duty" when we stoped in and he was such an easy going guy to chat with. Will definitely be stopping in again.

And then owner Carmen Barkett came to greet us in the gallery, and the space shifted in the most beautiful way. Carmen is deeply in tune with her passion and her joy, and just as intentional about making sure people feel truly good in her presence. She spent time with us walking through the gallery, sharing unique and wonderful stories about the art the artists and her journey-how she procured both buildings, stepped away for ten years, and found her way back to reopen ArtsiPhartsi. It was inspiring in a quiet, meaningful way. This past year has been challenging for me, and I didn't realize how much I needed to be in the presence of someone like Carmen until I was. After the gallery, we sat together in her whimsical garden and simply talked. No agenda. Just conversation, connection, and a sense of calm I didn't know I was missing. ArtsiPhartsi is not just an art gallery or a gift shop--it's something far more special- a true destination a respite from the crazy world around us. There were the threaded canvases, (much like paintings) sculptures, ceramics, stained glass, holiday cards, Christmas ornaments, decorative book shelf memorabilia, furniture, jewelry & a host of other rare finds from artists across the globe. I was glad because it was hot there. They had scheduled glass-blowing demonstrations. After the demonstration, you can buy the piece that was made. The studio had a glass store next to it. This was a place to check out. It had so many glass works inside. It was a beautiful store. The staff was very helpful. I enjoyed my time here. You can find smaller artworks here. There were a few parking spaces in front of the store, not too many. A parking garage is nearby, a few blocks away. I saw plenty of street parking around the streets but most taken.
