This review is strictly for their facilities and campus, not education/curriculum. Home to the Red Raiders, Kauai High is a public school with tons of school pride. Students wear school shirts daily, with several different designs in an array of colors, personally I think it's super cool- and a way for faculty to keep track of students. Morning time can be confusing, as there's cones set up for student drop off. Park in a marked Visitor stall right up front. Check in at the front office and get a Visitor sticker so that staff know you've signed in. Visited their campus on a Wednesday and Friday, to do presentations to their HOSA classes. With bright red buildings and open spaces for students to hangout, I really enjoyed their campus.

If you need a physical, they'll do it for free. If you need a filling for your teeth, it will be free. These people are so nice and have devoted their time to help others. The only downfall is that you would have to wait a long time to see the doctors but it's all worth it! IRT is a multi-service operation that provides medical support to a variety of underserved American populations located in remote areas throughout the United States and U.S. territories.

This review is for Kahili Mountain Park cabin rentals which is associated with the School . The…read moreroad up to the cabins could be likened to rough and ready roller coaster ride, without the security of knowing the ride is under mechanical control. A little filling of some of the huge pot huge could be used. Once at the cabin the peace and serenity were almost palpable. The quiet grandeur of the watchful mountain gazing down at you was something to wonder at. The roaming ducks, chickens, colorful pheasants and other wild birds filled the air with sweet cheerful melodies. We stayed in their nicest cabin which was still slightly rustic, but had all the basic amenities of a home which made staying in for meals fuss free. The screened lani( porch) was a lovely attachment. The nights were refreshingly cool and the view of the sun rising in the morning resplendent. I did miss my nightly hot tub/pool at a traditional resort, but was still more than satisfied. The view from our cabin could have been at the foot of a mountain in Africa's Congo for the wonderful remote feeling it possessed. For a quiet true getaway on the lush garden paradise of Kauai visit this park.

This is definitely it! What a way to change the pace. Relax, get into the vibe of the island and do what you came to do. Unwind. When you're here book a session take some memorabilia home maybe even buy a painting or two and capture the vacation by using your own creativity. I highly recommend this and you guys should absolutely try a painting class while you're on vacation with Marionette.

Easily my favorite activity on our most recent visit to Kauai…read more I had bookmarked the Painting Paradise site years ago on our last interisland trip, but couldn't make one of the classes work within our schedule - was really hoping to do silk scarf painting. So I was thrilled when I saw that we would be on island for an acrylic pouring class! I emailed Marionette and signed up - the interaction was easygoing and friendly. The building is easy to find - just walk towards the back and her studio is on the left. I arrived super early, but other class members were already there. That gave me time to make some coffee (she has a Keurig in the corner) and peruse her art displayed around the outside, as well as chat with Marionette and other classmates. We had a relatively small class - maybe six of us, which gave us a good amount of room in which to work. Marionette demonstrated some techniques for us, which we then did, and then gave us the freedom to do whatever techniques we liked best. We did five 5x7 prints on yupo paper. There were plenty of materials to share and the camaraderie among the groups in class was great - we all encouraged each other every time we did a pour. The class is perfect for beginners - if you can stir paint in a cup and pour it out, you can do acrylic pouring. Such impressive results for minimal effort! Since our prints had a lot of paint on them, we needed to let them dry for a few days. For those of us who were leaving before they were ready, Marionette took our addresses and sent our prints to us a few days later. Mine arrived in excellent condition and very well-secured. She also sells originals, prints, and cards of her own work, mostly watercolor but not exclusively. She hosts many workshops, and is happy to host custom workshops or lessons for any size group if her class schedule doesn't mesh with yours. I am very much looking forward to returning for another workshop with her!

Enter Esiah, our awesome instructor. He went through all the basics for us very green beginners, and emphasized the importance of looking straight ahead (and hula hands, which are now a family staple as we describe to people how to surf). The four of us went out in the water with Esiah, and we ALL FOUR caught waves, even me (who was definitely least likely). Esiah was awesome: complimentary, enthusiastic, and giving us feedback as my wife and I kept coming back to fall off again. Thanks to his awesome teaching, timing, and patience we had a blast, and my wife and I ended the day taking waves all the way to shore where we promptly had our boards run into our shins. Awesome memory, and we look forward to going out again.
