We prepaid for three races and arcade cards for nine teenage girls. These are not ordinary teenage girls. These are high-school wrestlers. They are feral. They are starving. They are stronger than me. I fear for my safety. I've had two beers over the course of three hours because I'm driving the girls home and trying to be a responsible adult. If this were not the case, I would currently be on beer number THIRTY and possibly asleep under a picnic table. The races? Absolute chaos. The third race has been such a disaster that: * We asked for a refund * The birthday girl's dad MISSED THE RACE ENTIRELY * There are WAY too many carts on the track * It's basically bumper cars without consent * Accidents every 6 seconds * Zero flow * Zero explanation * Maximum confusion At one point I genuinely wondered if this was an experimental stress test sponsored by NASA or the Department of Defense. The girls are now circling the track like gladiators while I sit here hungry, exhausted, and emotionally broken, wondering how a simple birthday party turned into a Lord of the Flies karting edition. Look--I'm not asking for perfection. I'm asking for: * A schedule that makes sense * Races that actually happen * A track that isn't a demolition derby * And maybe a snack so I don't get jumped by nine wrestlers in Crocs This place had potential. But today? Today was a full-blown shit show. One star. Would not recommend for: * Birthday parties * Groups * Parents * Or anyone who values time, sanity, or cartilage. If you see a tired adult staring into the distance in this building... it's probably me. Send help.

Ok, if you've never been in a race car before; it is a great time. The staff were very friendly…read more There are a couple of things that could really improve the experience. First - if you're a big guy like me, forget about the Indy car and do the stock car. I was going to do Indy and was so squished in the cockpit I couldn't turn the wheel. I got out and went over to a stock car. Secondly, the video. They charge way to much for the video. Also, the quality is very bad, the video wiggles at high RPM. Also, there is no communication between you and your spotter on the video, even though there is a giant racing audio logo on the video. It comes on a USB drive with all this funky bloatware just to watch it. It is a two camera system, one on you and one out the windshield; but the two videos are embedded into one stream; not great if you want to edit later. Third - the video you watch before getting to the track. The safety part is obviously important; but they tell you how to drive the course. The course on the video is an oval and CMS is a tri-oval. I wished they would have stopped the video and informed us of the proper racing lines for the tri-oval. Last - the spotter. He could have done a better job. He was basically telling me what RPM to be at. He could have done a lot more coaching as to when to lift, how much wheel to put in the turns, when to get back in the throttle, etc. I don't even know if he was paying attention; I had to tell him when there was a car in front of me that I needed to pass. I think with better instruction, I could have had a much better time and gotten better lap times. My certificate said I hit 151.95mph. I find that hard to believe as my lap times where 60-65 seconds for a 1.52 mile course (average speed of 90 mph). If I hit 150 on the backstretch, then my corner speeds must have been horrible. Granted, their website will tell you that the top speed is just a guess anyways; so I wouldn't put too much belief in it. All in all, it is a cool experience for someone who's never been to a track before. Just being in the infield and behind pit wall and hearing the cars was fun. Driving was fun. But I think for someone who has raced before might feel a little underwhelmed.

Having driven a stock car at the Chicagoland Speedway I didn't think riding in an indy car would be all that great. I was wrong, it was pretty cool. Just like the driving experience you get to park in the infield and the wait for your number to be called. Then you get a helmet and climb into an indy car. I'm not really sure why, but they give you a little useless steering wheel. To pretend you're driving? I don't know. You only go around the track 3 times, which isn't very much. At 190 mph it is over pretty quick. It's fun, but it's pricey for what you get. If you have some money burning a hole in your pocket and you want to ride an indy car; go for it. If you're just kinda interested then skip it and go for the driving experience.

Cold coffee or no coffee and a plastic grocery store platter of dry muffins was the morning snack. Lunch was hot dogs, potato salad and chips, which ran out. No toppings but mustard and ketchup. Dinner was hamburgers or pulled pork, lettuce and tomatoes, more potato salad and chips. Ran out again. People were complaining about the quality and amount of food. Some people bought stadium food and brought it to the skybox. The hostess announced that the guacamole and chips had finally arrived. People went up to the buffet to find a tiny little bowl of guac for about 50 people, it was comical but some people were really angry. The hostess bartender was a airhead and had a bad attitude. When the only beer drinking member of our party went to the bar for his third drink, she asked if he really needed one and did he have a DD. He said he had 5, she rolled her eyes and gave him a beer. We were there from 8am til 9pm and our friend was 50 years old. This same hostess, when the food ran out, told me she was going to put more chips out because that is the cheap stuff. Haha!!! The other hostess acted like this experience was not typical but it was obvious that it was. I've been to many skyboxes and this one was so ghetto it was amusing. This was the first time we didn't tip a skybox hostess. For our party, the AC and the view was worth the price but obviously others were upset. Ignore the description and the photo on the website!!!
