The food offered is amazing with a COFFEE BAR!, PIZZA!, chicken, hot and cold sandwiches, a hot dog roller grill spinning 24-7, a frozen yogurt buffet, an enormous candy selection and all the chips and snacks you could ever want. The coolers are huge and have all the beverages. There is also a fountain area with sodas and frozen concocts. The restrooms are sparkling clean. There's an indoor and outdoor seating area and a complete truck stop with diesel pumps and scales. The staff is always friendly and goes over and above to make travelers and locals feel welcome.

They did an amazing job with the renovation. But what really impressed me was the customer service. I stopped by early this morning, still half asleep, just to buy a box of Band-Aids -- honestly, it was almost an excuse to finally check out the renovated store. I used the self-checkout and didn't even realize that I had accidentally scanned the same box twice. The employee who was simply there watching the self-checkout area and helping customers noticed it on her own. I didn't complain or even realize there was a problem. She kindly approached me, explained that I had been charged twice, and immediately told me how I could get a refund. For convenience, I actually decided to just grab another box of Band-Aids instead of getting the refund. But what stayed with me was the fact that she noticed and cared enough to say something. I could have bought Band-Aids somewhere else more conveniently, but I came here because I wanted to see the renovated store -- and I'm glad I did. The store is beautiful, but the level of service made the experience even better. I honestly don't understand why this location doesn't have a higher rating. When the employee brought the situation to my attention, I immediately offered to pay for the items because I wanted to resolve the situation. However, my friend was able to produce a receipt showing that the items had already been purchased. After the receipt was presented and it was confirmed that the items had been paid for, I was sent to Customer Service to receive a refund. While I appreciate that the issue was ultimately addressed, the way the situation was handled was very unprofessional and uncomfortable. The employee should not have been so accusatory, especially since she did not personally see who rang up the items or have all of the facts before making an accusation. There is a significant difference between asking a customer to verify a purchase and directly accusing someone of stealing. Customers should be treated with respect and given the benefit of the doubt until the facts are established. I hope Publix will address this situation with the employee and provide additional guidance on how these situations should be handled professionally and respectfully. I'm sharing this review because no customer should leave a store feeling embarrassed or unfairly accused when they have done nothing wrong.
