Bob came out today to help us with a leaking valve and a zone not working. I was bracing myself to fork over more than $500 today to replace the valve and fix the zone. Nope! Bob was able to fix the valve and the zone for a fraction of what I was anticipating. Krupske gave is a service window between 12-5pm and he arrived around 3pm, giving us a call when he was on his way. The courtesy call reminder the day before was great. I ACCEPTED being put on a wait list and waiting 3 - 4 weeks. Unfortunately, I was never contacted again. At the end of the day, you CAN control one thing. YOU CAN... Call a customer to let them know that due to whatever reason(s) you will not be able to service them, instead of making them wait several weeks on end for a call back. You can either make excuses, or you can take accountability by communicating. I previously ran a business, and I fully understand the importance of this. It is not difficult. He insulted me and called me names for no reason. I never mentioned anything about race, but he still accused me of being racist, which is especially hurtful since I am Middle Eastern and deal with racism myself. They didn't have to do any of that, but they did it anyway to make sure the project flowed smoothly. One of the reasons we chose them was because they are Unilock certified, which was extremely important to us for warranty purposes. The majority of our project involved extensive Unilock pavers off the back of our home and surrounding the new pool, and their craftsmanship is absolutely outstanding. At the beginning, we had a clear plan, but as with any large construction project, things changed along the way. Jimenez and Sons handled every change quickly, professionally, and without ever falling behind schedule. They made on-the-fly adjustments to retaining walls, pool equipment locations, and even the water features--all without a single complaint. Their work ethic is unmatched. They were on-site at 7 AM every day, stayed until dark, and even worked Saturdays, something you don't see from many contractors today. This is clearly a family-run business, and they treat you like part of that family. They work on your home as if it were their own. Even the father, who started this business many years ago with just a shovel and a wheelbarrow, was there from start to finish. His passion for the craft still shines through. And I have to highlight Rene Jimenez specifically--he is truly the best. Rene is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also an all-around great person: honest, easy to work with, and patient. He has an incredible vision for tough, complicated projects, and he can see solutions long before anyone else does. His leadership and creativity were a huge part of why this project turned out so beautifully. They went above and beyond with the landscaping as well. They moved and replanted trees to improve the view, added multiple new trees and shrubs, and placed everything perfectly to enhance beauty while blocking unwanted sightlines.
