No energy, no personality, she would BARELY speak when dropping off in the morning. Always seem tired and overwhelmed. Complain a lot about not having enough help. NEVER had time to fill out the end of the day recap in my child's notebook (the notebook was pointless). I barely received photos of my child throughout the day, maybe (1-3 daily photos) and that's on a good day. (And it's no live video footage to watch your child). HUGE classroom volume compared to neighboring daycares. Regardless of "state ratio law" MANAGEMENT should know better! To many kids in one classroom (at this age) is NOT good for the child or teacher. An aid was eventually added but not sure if that helped. Nitika (the owner) was ok. Not great not terrible just ok. Henni (the director) was actually excellent with kids, they loved her. She was patient & communicated well, but ultimately everything goes through Nitika. Cost: $280 per week (4years old) I would NOT recommend this daycare to anyone in the Pearland area with young kids! Please seek elsewhere.

He's only a year and a half old and still adjusting to being away from me. To help with the transition, I've been staying for a few minutes during drop-off to comfort him--especially since he can become overwhelmed and sometimes throws tantrums that lead to vomiting. I've only ever stayed briefly, and always with the goal of making things easier for both my child and the staff. One morning, while I was outside pushing him on the swing (which his teacher had told me was okay and even helpful during the adjustment period), a director named Ms. Alma came outside and, in a very dismissive tone, told me they hadn't done a background check on me and implied I shouldn't be around the other children. While I absolutely respect the need for safety protocols, the way she approached me was unnecessarily rude and made me feel like a threat--when in reality, I was simply supporting my child with the teacher's permission. If there are specific policies around drop-off routines or parent presence, that's completely understandable--but they should be communicated clearly and handled with basic professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, that's not the only concern I've had. My son fell backwards off a chair one day, and I was never notified. There was no incident report, no mention at pick-up--nothing. On another occasion, milk was spilled on a child, and instead of being cleaned up promptly, the mess was left unattended for nearly an hour. I saw multiple children slip and fall in that area while staff members seemed to ignore it. These may seem like small things individually, but they reflect a troubling lack of attentiveness and care. As a parent, I expect a safe, clean, and communicative environment for my child--this has not been my experience here.

Speaking from being previous lead teacher at a different Kids R Kids, when it's a child first day you wanna make sure you comfort the child and the parents, because it's always nerve recking on the first day for parents and the child. After dropping my daughter off, I was on the camera and saw she was crying for at least 30 mins, the teachers picked her up a couple times and then for a good minute my daughter was in the corner crying by herself on the other side of the classroom while both of the teachers and students were sitting on the carpet on the opposite side of the classroom. Again! I was a previous teacher at a different Kids r Kids, I would have never had any of my students in a corner crying by their self. I had great assistant teachers that would help them relax and ease in also. I spoke with the director about how I didn't feel very welcomed coming into the class. After speaking with her I was still gonna try to see how the first week went. When I went to pick my daughter up her teacher still wasn't very interactive. (The director says she's a new lead teacher, she might be nervous since it's her first day) On top of everything else, once I went to pickup my daughter her teacher tells me my daughter got bit on her left arm! I went to the front to ask them about my daughter getting bit. The lady from the front desk and the director didn't know what happened. I told her no one informed me that my daughter got bit nor did her teacher do a report. ( my daughter was bit at 11am, the bite mark still showed later in the afternoon around 4pm) At Kids r Kids, the teachers are supposed to make a report the second the incident happens, take a picture and the front office should call the parents! They didn't do that what so ever! I understand biting happens sometimes especially in my daughter age group. What made me upset was that they didn't follow their own rules and let me know what happened. So I lost all trust there. Mind you this all happened on her first/last day. I go back today to tell them my daughter wasn't no longer gonna be attending the school. She told me she understood and said "I'm sorry that we didn't meet up to your standards" and if you're wondering no, I didn't get a refund. I expected way better especially being the same company I worked for. Very disappointed.

One teacher in particular was aggressive with my child on multiple occasions. I mentioned it once before and the director agreed with me said " i will talk to her". Well that same teacher was aggressive again and I had asked the curriculum director at pick up if she had access to the cameras footage and she said yes and she proceeded to show me. Me and that curriculum director BOTH AGREED IT WAS AGGRESSIVE and she said they do not train their teachers to act like that-she said was going to tell the head director (she never did until i brought it to their attention) Both director then reviewed the camera footage and said they do not believe it was aggressive at all and they said that teacher was their best and they won't be doing anything about it(even though the head director admitted previously she was aggressive towards my child) My husband wanted to see the footage and was shut down immediately and said he was not allowed to see anything because there was "nothing to see", after letting them know we were going to call the cops to file a police report they then agreed an hour later to let my husband watch the footage- which he agreed the teacher was being VERY AGGRESSIVE. After going home and looking up this daycare on the licensing website it turns out this was not their first time getting in trouble for being aggressive with kids(they were reported on 05/24/2023 for grabbing/pulling a child). They kept trying to blame my daughter for everything and took no accountability at all. I then asked if she could move classrooms because i did not trust this teacher and they said no because this was their "most trustworthy teacher" and didn't trust anyone else with my daughter, so then we removed her. After the teacher was aggressive she took my daughter to the bathroom for about 8 minutes and all you could see was the top of their head(until the last minute or so and the teacher finally stood up) Tell me how that is not suspicous.

They both love their school, and teachers. Our oldest started "school" at 18 months and our initial goals were low-tech, hands-on Montessori methodology. Things have changed! We transferred to The Goddard School after daily phone calls for behavior "issues" from our previous school. The STEAM concept is wonderful and their technology, security, and communication is top-notch. We receive daily reports and photos -- helping us feel up-to-date and involved. I will start out by saying that having Mrs. Kahn as my daughters teacher was the biggest mistake I ever made as a parent. There would be times Mrs. Kahn would say," Oh your child wouldn't sit down in circle time and would go play with the toys instead, or I know her shirt has milk and paint all over it but she got upset when I tried to change her so I left it on." The first thought that came to my mind was," Aren't you the teacher?" My child wasn't bad at all, she was just excited to be in an environment with so many stimulating things in it, and as a teacher you would think her 15+ years of experience would've taught her how to handle those situations. It's as if she was so used to having perfect children and got flustered when a child didn't listen when she told them to do something the first time. And as far as my child learning anything, she didn't learn anything from her other than how to line up and go outside. The funny thing is when I would be on break from school or had her for the holidays, I would teach her the smallest things and my daughter would catch on so fast that everyone in my family could see an improvement. Why was it that she wasn't learning anything at school when she was there 5 days a week, but as soon as I taught her something on a 3 day break all of a sudden you see improvement? I'll tell you why, it's because Mrs. Kahn was NOT paying attention to my child and paid more attention to other children and was busy begging parents to give money or food to her for the parties she always threw (as if tuition wasn't enough). If she spent more time on educating the children then planning parties, maybe the children could actually learn something. My husband also would drop our daughter off and say to me ," Does she not like our daughter? She always gives us a look like she doesn't want her there, but when other children come in, she gets excited and gives them hugs." Also you know something is wrong with a teacher when the director pulls her own grandchild out of their class, and transfers them into another teachers class. In all since leaving within 3 months my child can count to 100 and can read at 3 years old, and it's all because I taught her and took her out of that school. My advice is to anybody looking at this school, DO NOT enroll your child in her class. She's obviously more focused on throwing parties and doesn't know a thing about teaching in a structured environment.
