We had a Chaplain and Social Worker available to guide us through this extremely difficult time. My mother was never in pain, thanks to Nurses who always responded to her button call. She was treated with respect and compassion, always. The facility is beautiful, plenty of space for families to gather together as well as a dining room that prepared hot food for purchase. Open Arms will always hold a special place in my heart.

My experience is with the Greenville, SC location. I was so impressed with the owner of this…read morelocation. Before hiring he excepted my phone calls readily. During a week of caregiving, my mother fell and had to have stitches in her head. The caregiver seemed more concerned that she was due to leave at 2 pm and this happened at 1:30. She also left my front door unlocked when she left. She was walking behind my mother instead of beside of or in front of when she fell. I was never angry, but wanted to express my disappointment of how the situation was handled to the owner. Thinking he could inform the caregiver of the proper way to handle emergencies. I called on a Monday and left a message. Waited until Thursday and called again. I have now been home for over a week and a half and still have not received a call back. Very unprofessional! Any professional company would address the situation or have the common courtesy to assure that the person was doing ok after a fall with a head injury.

We never once went to see my mom that the apartment was not filthy. My mother did not want to change once she knew the person who came so we kept trying to call to complain in hopes of them remedying the problem. Daniel, head honcho, was always supposed to call back but after two months of us calling twice weekly we realized they never return calls! Not even the day that i because my mother was in the hospital and I desperately needed a sitter for two days until I could arrive from out of town!! The lady who answered the phone was always kind, said she would have him call and even gave us his email. They do not care about their clients, no clue what they did unless just dropped by to chat for 2 hours. It took us two days of scrubbing to get apartment back in shape plus find another service. Don't trust Visiting angels, at least not this particular branch (Greenville SC office). Useless.

My dad was on this hospice at Providence Care. They kept messing with his meds. Tried to get him to…read moretake meds that were making him sick and changing his skin-color, even after repeatedly taking it already... they gave me 100s of one pill claiming it was the same as another, but the one hurt him and the other... well it helped him but they limited that. Poured out one of his meds that they claimed was an emergency med... turned down his oxygen multiple times after he was maintaining well before. After the oxygen cuts he always got worse. He couldn't move much at one point after they wanted him to keep taking a new drug and they didn't seem to care, but after some swelling later on they made a big deal about the swelling even though it was no where near as bad as before, and then they dropped him completely claiming it wasn't personal. At one point the nurses manager Hope told me (and I have it on video) that she wanted my dad to do drugs and drink alcohol while on hospice so that he had a good time. Stay away from this hospice
