Recently, I followed my favourite pastime, eat Sushi again…read more I had to interrupt my exhausting shopping tour in the AEZ to fortify myself and went to Sushi Yama. Sushi Yama is primarily a delivery service for the areas of Fuhlsbüttel to Sasel. But the Sushi Yama is represented also with a little uncomfortable corner in the eating lane of the AEZ. The Sushi is prepared freshly in the visibility range. This pleases! Admitted I cannot distinguish a Japanese of a Korean or Chinese, either I can not separate a Frenchmen of Germans or Swiss. But the Sushi was not at least prepared by Asians. I could say this certainly. But this does not matter. I know for certain everyone can learn the art of sushi making. However, the Sushi was not particularly slap-up. The rice was not sour enough, the Wasabi was missing and the relations Fish to rice were not well. Too little fish. I have let nothing on the plate. The waitress asked me whether it has tasted nice. I formulated my criticism friendly and found it very nicely that she immediately discussed this with the Sushi-Cook. As a compensation she offered me a salmon Nigiri. Unfortunately, I was already replete, however, found this really pleasant.

There's some non-sushi dishes hand written in German on a chalkboard on the wall. This includes a salmon miso soup which I enjoyed, although I like the sushi a bit more. It's pricy like most sushi places (you'll probably pay 10-15€ to eat), although the presentation is nice and it's of high quality ingredients. I could easily recommend this place if you're looking for sushi in Hamburg.
