When I visit a Kalifano shop, it's usually at the Harry Reid International Airport at Terminal 1 near the baggage claim. While shopping with my mom at the Grand Canal Shoppes, we found a Kalifano store! It's a family run business starting back in 1912! There are a few different stores in Las Vegas. Every Kalifano gallery has unique items from crystals, gems, fossils, hand carved gemstone, recycled metal sculptures and so much more! One of my favorite pieces to look at is the Bumblebee from Transformers. The artwork is imaginative and intriguing. The giant metal statues are so unique and each store is filled with a lot of gem stone varieties. The quality of the artwork pieces are outstanding too! It's one of the more immersive stores in the Grand Canal shop where you can explore creative sculptures, and beautifully crafted gemstone pieces. When my mom and I had went to the store, there was a sale on going that one of the team members informed us about! If you're strolling through the Grand Canal Shoppes, I'd recommend checking out Kalifano. They've got an amazing mix of gemstones, fossils, and recycled metal art, you'll definitely want to stop and admire the displays!

It is a neat store to browse, to see all of the repurposed items turned into pieces of art, like the Bumble Bee Transformer, and the huge Predator or the huge animals. Regular people, the working people, are not going to be looking to buy these specialty items. I understand why this location is closing. It's tough in this market. Specialty stores are going to be the hardest hit. Inflation and pending tariffs. Some known brands are closing up shop, like Forever 21 (it's done). Everything is going up. As a gemstone enthusiast, I liked to see the gemstone jewelry. I like some gemstones over others, like kyanite. A pretty blue gemstone. That one stood out to me on our visit. There were few other customers, but they are inquiring and then moving on. I felt bad for the sales lady. But, again, it's a tough market.

What a cool store!!! The giant metal statues in the windows draw you in to an amazing store filled with gems (loose, jewelry, on those trees) and tons of metal art built from old car parts and other stuff. Very cool things from skulls to Star Wars Droids to other Anime/Superhero stuff (I think). I ended up finding a cool bottle opener and a cool globe for my office as they had a great sale going on. They even had free shipping and it arrived at my home about 10 days after I bought it. The staff was super helpful and were happy to offer waters (after we started buying stuff). They have a few stores and said they're only in Las Vegas. If you can't make it to the one at the Forum Shops, there is one at the Airport, although I imaging taking a giant Transformer statue through TSA would be a challenge!

    Labradorite Heart

I don't write many reviews, so when I do, it truly means something. For Valentine's Day I purchased a stone or mineral in the shape of a heart for each day of the week, the 7th being Valentine's Day. I purchased them from various companies online. Each day better than the previous. Day 6 was labradorite. I am a geologist who focused on mineralogy in college. I know my stuff. Everytime I take my girl somewhere with minerals, she spots labradorite and tells me how beautiful it is with all of the blues. She doesn't even realize half the time that she's pointing out the same mineral. Rocks arent her thing.. yet! So, I figured a labradorite was appropriate. I found one online from Kalifano. When it arrived, as beautiful as it was, it just didnt have the blues I was hoping for. This was the day before Valentine's Day. I looked up their contact information and noticed they had a 702 area code, which is las vegas and also where I live. I sent an email to them explaining I wasn't thrilled with the labradorite because of the lack of blue. I also explained I was in Vegas and asked if it would be possible for me to go to them and purchase a different piece. One that my girl would hopefully recognize as the same mineral she always points out. Kalifano actually called me back really quickly and invited me to come to their warehouse in town to get a different piece. I offered to pay and give back the original, and they told me that wasn't necessary because they want the customer happy and they take pride in their work. When I arrived, they not only gave me an unbelievable replacement, but they doubled down and gave me something for my girl that I am truly grateful for. I was blown away. My girl was blown away. I'm sure what they did for me and my girl was a rare occurrence, so I will exclude those details. They certainly can't do that for everyone. They have a business to run. But they did do it for me and for my girl in the spirit of Valentine's Day and I wanted to share that with everyone. The man I met was incredibly friendly and invited me to an exclusive wholesale event that's coming up. I am a geologist that subcontracts mostly in the summer because I am a geoscience teacher at an at-risk inner city high school for the rest of the year. I give away so many minerals to my students for free because that is what got me interested in geology as a kid. The amount of money I have given away as minerals is probably staggering. What Kalifano did, in a way, let me know I'm doing the right thing. I plan on going to this wholesale event to buy as much as I can afford so I can turn around and give it to the kids. I just wanted to say thank you again to Kalifano and I am sorry for writing a novel here. But they deserve the recognition.

All the staff was so helpful. Products are quality and wonderful selection. We first discovered the store at the airport and was referred to the bigger store by Venetian. Not disappointed and purchased lots of goods

I found these two 25 pound amethyst and citrine pieces while in Vegas at this great store. If you like one of a kind and unusual pieces check them out. They ship as well, I certainly did not lug 50 pounds of crystal through ORD. They are all great at the store and the family curates these pieces. These were perfect in my Dining Room and bring good energy. www.Kalifano.com

Excellent product. Lightning fast delivery. Very impressed! Definitely visiting the store next time in Vegas. Highly recommend!

This is a great place to find some unique items to purchase as gifts or for yourself. This location is one of a few along The Strip. They have a decent jewelry collection made with a variety of gym stones, a unique collection of leather belts that are custom for you (comes in different leather types including snake, alligator and ostrich) and other items like shark teeth and Michigan copper. The employees were friendly and helpful. I think that they are worth at least a leisure walk through.

    Marble hearts

If you're in the market for $20 fist-sized marble heart, this is the place for you. They also have a giant robot model in the store and throughout the mall, lots of glass trinkets and souvenirs, fossils, and some very elaborate large scale art. They have stuff that ranges from $10 to several thousand and all in all seems a little mish mosh but I'm not into stones and stuff like that so maybe it's just not for me. There's nothing here that anyone needs but if you just can't leave Vegas without buying yourself something very breakable and heavy enough to put your luggage over the weight limit and want some friendly service from staff, here ya go.

I'm talking about "Threads of Tyranny" (or whatever they call themselves). First off, getting in was harder than getting a toddler to eat their vegetables. I swear, they had a velvet rope, a bouncer who looked like he wrestled bears in his spare time, and a questionnaire that asked for my blood type, social security number, and the thread count of my dreams. Apparently, only "industry owners" are worthy of their hallowed halls. I'm pretty sure my grandma, who sews better than most fashion designers, wouldn't have made the cut. Once I finally breached the inner sanctum, I was greeted by prices so high, they could make a billionaire weep. I saw a scrap of lace that was priced like it was woven from unicorn hair and spun by angels. I'm pretty sure I could buy a small island for the cost of their "sale" bin. And the staff? Oh, the staff. They looked like they were auditioning for a remake of "The Stepford Wives," but instead of being robots, they were just...snobby. Asking for help was like pulling teeth from a grumpy badger. I inquired about the difference between two types of cotton, and they looked at me like I'd just asked them to explain quantum physics in Klingon. Honestly, I'm surprised this place hasn't been swallowed by a black hole of pretentiousness. I give them a solid two years, tops, before they're replaced by a discount mattress store or a laser tag arena. Mark my words.
