The food was excellent! 3 of us had the Argentinian steak, cooked to perfection, one had chicken breast. The vegetables were better than the usual fare served up in Danish restaurants in this price range. Stuffed mushroom. Spinach wrapped in pancake and golden saute whole new potatoes. The meal came with an excellent salad bar inclusive in the 2 or 3 course meal. The desserts were also worth experiencing. The server was good but we had no explanation why our meal came up after later arrivals but we were in no hurry so the wait was worth it. The restaurant was busy on the night if our visit. Will definitely be going back before it closes in mid September.

I kind of wish I sat in the older section just for the authenticity, but the menu looked better in the other section, so hey-ho. Maybe you can get either in either restaurant, I dunno! The service was really friendly and the food was delicious! It felt to me like elevated rustic dishes. I had some sort of chicken pot pie like thing (with a less offensive name), which was really tasty. My friend got a fish plate, with three fishes prepared different ways. Everything was wonderful.

All I can say is try the strawberry pie! Holmgaard has it's own flour that I can truly recommend. The types of grain it's made out of is old fashion grain that has gotten its renaissance (vårmel).
