The food & service was so bad. The wait time for menu's was awful. The service was horrible.

Dr. Lauren Malachowski is not simply a physical therapist. She will go the extra mile to ensure you…read morehave the motivation needed to achieve your goals. When treating my long-term knee pain, she tailored an achievable step-by-step plan enabling me to return to distance running. She listened through my skepticism, factored in the daily realities of life, and designed a program tailored to my situation. This dynamic, personalized approach to physical therapy was just what I needed. If you're looking for a physical therapist who genuinely cares about you and your recovery, then you are looking in the right place!

Lauren is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in all aspects. She is incredibly intelligent, super personable and…read morehighly effective in her methodologies, which all sums up into making her the best physical therapist I have ever encountered. I met Lauren in 2015, after I tore my left ACL and had ACL replacement surgery. Prior to seeing Lauren I saw two other physical therapist, which at that time I thought was fine. I showed up, they gave me some exercises, I did them and went on my merry way, not knowing any better, until I had to go and take a functional fitness test and failed miserably. At that time, I was living in SoCal, but luckily for me I took a contract job that took me to the bay area. When I moved, I had to find a new physical therapist and that's when I found Lauren. From my first appointment I knew that she was the perfect therapist for me. I am a very demanding and straight forward person and told her right off the bat what I expected and what outcome I would like to achieve. I knew I needed to pass the functional fitness test, that became my primary goal. However, I've always been an avid runner and a group fitness instructor so improving my running pace and becoming leaner and stronger were my secondary goals. Lauren never hesitated and confidently reassured me that she will get me to where I want to be. In the span of 3 months I went from experiencing knee pain with every movement to being able to lift weights, complete intense plyometric workouts, and running 8min/mile for up to 4 miles. Lauren was able to get me into better shape than before my injury and in the process, I lost 12 lbs without even thinking about it. Lauren goes above and beyond for her patients. She texted and called me regularly to check up on me and ask me for updates on my knee pain. In the 3 months that I worked with Lauren it never ever felt like work. I looked forward to going to my sessions and actually miss it when I am not able to keep my appointments. Lauren not only made a huge impact on my recovery but has also become a huge part of my life and her genuine care for me has turned us into friends. If you want someone who's all in and who takes your recovery as if it's their own, I wouldn't choose any other therapist. I whole heartedly believe that Lauren is the BEST PHYSICAL THERAPIST out there hands down. I recently tore my right ACL and ended up having another surgery to replace this one as well. I now live in SoCal again and cannot see Lauren for this recovery. I have Kaiser and am forced to go see Kaiser therapists, and all I have to say is that I've been disappointed with their level of knowledge and expertise, commitment to my recovery and overall effectives in providing me the proper care and treatment. I honestly, wished that I could move back just so that I can see Lauren again because I know that 3 months working with her would be more effective than years with another therapist.

I'd been seeing an overzealous high-velocity chiropractor that was not a good fit for me, and resulted in debilitating pain in my side. Dr. Z was able to see me the day after I contacted him, at his lovely home office in San Rafael. He diagnosed me with a pinched nerve between my ribs. He kindly worked on me for two hours with his gentle yet effective touch, and I already felt 50% better after the session. The pain was completely gone within a few days after that first session. I had been in horrible pain for weeks before, so this felt like a miracle! I saw Dr. Z every week for a few weeks, then went to every other week, which is still my routine a year later. I've had chronic back pain for 2 decades, and I'm happy to say that I'm in the least amount of pain since my troubles started in my early 20s. I always look forward to my bi-weekly sessions with Dr. Z. He is incredibly kind and respectful. His method is gentle - no cracking or popping, no tools besides his hands. I always feel more calm and light after our sessions, and any pain that I'm having is significantly reduced afterwards. I love that he not only works on realigning my physical body, he also does lymphatic drainage, abdominal massage for my GI and women's health issues, and vagus nerve work. I have MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome) and some hypermobility / connective tissue laxity, and I've learned through this experience that my body benefits most from a light touch. Dr. Z is such a perfect fit for me and an amazing healer. I recommend him to everyone!

I came to Dr. John to get work done on a tendon in my shoulder. Some of my doctor friends said that my injury could require surgery. Dr. John had it back together after two weeks. Through his treatments I've also overcome some problems I thought I would never be able to. My right leg has always stuck out at an angle. Doctors have said there was really nothing I could do about it. Dr. John has my feet pointing straight now. My allergy problems are becoming manageable and my energy is much better. I'm going to start taking his nutritional counseling soon and couldn't be more excited. Dr. Zeravich is a true healer. It's amazing what a few small pokes, prods and some belief can do. Thanks Dr. John!

After enduring a weak knee and right leg for 12 years, i am now able to walk several miles on a trail and am building agility and strength from there. The physical therapy assistants are also attentive and supportive as they follow the program Jacob lays out each session. Typically, i spent 30 minutes with Jacob and 30 minutes with a PTA. I was welcome to stay and ride the stationary bike if i so chose. Jacob was especially helpful in showing my husband how to work with me. This made my time between sessions more productive. One bit of advice--book appointments way ahead because their schedule is tight. My surgeon's office had told me to book after my surgery and i had to wait 2 weeks to be seen. Strongly recommended. Over the 6 weeks, i observed a lot of clients receiving physical therapy, some for help with sports, others for medical reasons. The facility is up to date, spacious, and clean.

They have fewer PTs than other places I've visited. You will likely have a full hour with a PT, but the time will be shared with another client. It really puts a lot of pressure on the PTs, from what I've experienced, who can't be in two places at once, and so not an ideal experience for a client. Both PTs I've worked with are quite good (Ariel and Kim) thoughtful and professional. The entrance is located inside the lobby of an orthopedic surgical practice in San Rafael. Equipment is fine, but much of it is older & dated. Not as state of the art as other local practices. My last practice had an app & videos to track daily progress and I could schedule online, but Select gives paper print outs for new exercises & makes appointments in person. A mixed experience, but it's difficult to not pay significantly out of pocket for PT, or to find a practice that's in-network, (there are fewer and fewer PTs covered by insurance) so in that regard, I'm thankful Select is a solid option.

Marci was able to give me some suggestions and exercises to help relieve my symptoms. Since I am an active person, this was much appreciated and my symptoms resolved quickly. Recently, I had a knee issue and saw her associate Natalie Shobeiri and discovered I have been running incorrectly and that was causing my knee issue. The session went well and I found Marci to be a very knowledgable hands-on PT who was also empathic! The caveat is that when I went to pay for the session she informed me that they don't take United Healthcare Medicare PPO Insurance. I was taken aback as I had spoken to Katlyn the Operations Manager and she had assured me that they would take my Insurance but that I would need to send in the "super bills" directly to them and would get reimbursed. She had the form I had emailed in with all my personal info but neglected to tell me that they don't take Medicare which for me was a big omission. Her bio on the website states that she " ensures every visit is a smooth and supportive experience" and a "seamless" one however, it was not for me as I was put in the uncomfortable position of having to pay $ 249. out of pocket. After sitting with the discomfort of feeling misled by Katlyn whom I felt did not do her job properly by inquiring about my Medicare and informing me before the visit. I sent an email to Marci about my feeling misled by Katlyn and what I described as a lack of integrity but heard nothing back as to her and Katlyn taking more responsibility for the situation I was put in. which is why I decided to write this mixed review which is highly uncommon for me. As I noted, I appreciated Marci's PT expertise but I am left feeling disheartened and taken advantage of in paying for the visit that I had no choice about and cost way more than anticipated !
